Bengals Player Ahmad Brooks Punches Woman

The Bengals Continue To Dominate The NFL In Alleged Assaults

Bengals Player Ahmad Brooks Punches Woman Photo[100% here. I'm writing this post from a link mck45209 sent to me. So direct your hate mail to me, and not MCK. As an extra bonus, we have a poll at the bottom. Let me help you, the answer is 'guilty.']

I'm not going to lie, sometimes it gets a little slow in the afternoon. There just isn't as much news going on. So whenever that happens, I just wait for someone to send me another "Cincinnati Bengals player got arrested" story. So in other words, I have few slow afternoons.

The newest Bengal to get in trouble is linebacker Ahmad Brooks. He's just been charged with  misdemeanor assault and could face up to a year in prison, all because he punched a woman. That's pretty low, even for a Bengals player.

So what exactly happened? Was it baby-mama drama? Just random punching goodness? What is it that makes these Bengals players tick?
Destiny Rosich gave a sworn statement Wednesday that Brooks was arguing outside her neighbor’s home on April 9 in the 7600 block of Banklick Street. She said her children were outside playing and began to cry because Brooks and the neighbor were about to start a fistfight.

Brooks told the neighbor that he was going to “split his head open,” Rosich wrote in her statement.

That when she “nicely approached” Brooks and asked him to stop and “take it somewhere else,” according to the statement. “He then pulled back his fist and struck (punched) me in the left eye,” Rosich wrote. “I then fell and blacked out.”

By the way, Brooks is a 6-foot-3, 259-pounds, so that punch probably hurt a little extra. And by "a little extra" I mean "a lot extra."

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Goodell suspend everyone on the Bengals who's ever gotten in trouble with the law, but then there'd be no football team in Cincinatti, which would sort of financially hurt the NFL. And we all know money comes before character, right? Right.

Anyway, I just hope we can all learn a valuable lesson from this episode. And the lesson is that you should never, ever approach a Bengal, either the species of tiger or a player on the team. Both are deadly, although the player probably slightly more so.

He went to the University of West Virginia so this is expected. He has to keep up with Chris Henry and Pacman Jones' track records.

Actually yes, it was Virginia. Let's just say it's guilt by nearby-state association.

Thank God it was plain Virgina.  That might have been the last straw.  I'm close to snapping.

In a far less abrasive way, I agree.  Male or female, you deserve what's coming to you accosting a giant man who's clearly in the throws of 'roid rage.  But I don't see how that makes him innocent.

If the story is what really happened, he's not, but let's write out what probably happened. As we know from the great family man Clemens, the media just goes with a certain angle, to sell fish wraps, so having a story positive about a Bengal isn't even considered. Every team has just as many douche bags as the Bengals, but every time the media can find anything on the Bengals, we get a nice story about it. So back to another possible scenario as to what went down. Brooks gets into a heated discussion with someone, we've all done that, and as he's arguing with this person, out of the trailer comes some dumb bitch waiving the rolling pen and screaming at the top of her lungs. As she gets closer, and more annoying, she swings the rolling pen at Brooks hitting him in the arm. Now, who wouldn't deck the annoying bitch?

I have no idea what to do anymore as a Bengals fan... I want to love this team... but instead I find most of my days filled with anger and frustration.  I think I may grow root for the 49ers... no arrests, could be good someday but I am not jumping on a bandwagon... plus in an ugly piece of irony I would be rooting for the team that beat the Bengals twice in the Super Bowl.

PQ for even thinking of leaving the great Mike Brown run show. You just accept your a fan of the worst franchise in sports and make peace with it

Maybe these guys were drawing straws in the huddle to see who was gonna be the idiot of the day. Cause obviously they weren't calling plays in the huddle given there 7-9 record.
