Dear Mrs. Randompants,
So I have a few people in my life that come to me with medical questions, personal issues, money problem, helping make decisions etc... so I thought I would offer my services to all my friends and everyone on the Q.

I might not have ALL the right answers, and I might not be able to solve it all, but I am here to listen and help you..

So let me know.. do you have an issue that you want help on, or perhaps you need a shoulder to lean on?

Dear Mrs. Randompants

My wife is a stay at home mom and she does a great job.  My only worry is that over time her butt is becoming more and more firmly attached to the couch.  Is this a common occurrence with stay at home moms?  Is there anything I can do to save her butt?  Any advice would be great.

Thank you,

Dear Mrs. Randompants,

I love the bachelor life, but many people are telling me it's time to find mrs. disciple & settle down....   I need to know what you think I should do.

I'm not lonely, but on the other hand, it would be nice to wake up next to the same person every day.

Deer cold feet,

Well it looks like you are on the same page as your friends and family, while it doesn't feel like it, you are on the look out for Mrs. Right.  Just find someone that you like to spend time with..There is no rush in getting married, you are still young.  Waking up to the same person is nice, however you don't want to rush into it. Marriage is grand, but divorce is 50 grand.

Dear Mrs. Randompants,

I am not one to lose my temper, but my job requires me to put up with a lot of crap on a daily basis from nurses who blame everything on transport services.  What should I do to contain myself in the event someone ticks me off to the point where I want to explode in their face?

Dear frustrated,
I think what you need to do is figure out where the real problems are stemming from, is it something that the transport team is doing or not doing?  or perhaps is it the nurses?  Is there lack of communication between the two teams?  I think the most beneficial bit of advise that I can give you is to think about these nurses and the sick, crabby, unruly patients that they have been dealing with for 8-12 hours a day.  and possibly they are taking out their frustrations on the wrong people.  If you know them well enough I would have a talk with them, try to figure out where there issues lie and work from there.

Hope things get better for you,
Mrs Randompants.

Hello Randompants.

I really enjoy this website on daily basis.  It is called FANIQ.  It has sooooo many problems that I considering moving to another site.  What do you think are the reasons for snail-like performance?  Do you think a job or 2 should be lost?  What can be done to improve the site?  Check it out...Oh nevermind!

Dear Anonymous,
Sounds to me like someone has a case of the Monday's on a Friday, and that never tastes very good.. here is what I suggest.  When I come across things that I am not sure about I make a list of all the positives and negative of said issue and I weigh them out.  Lets do this..Positive first.
  • It's fun for the whole family.
  • It's an addictive site that I have recruited my friends to.
  • I has a wide variety of members who are fans of my teams and my rivals, yet we all get along.
  • It has many activities for me to do such as answer who I think will win, vs who I think has a better bod.
  • It has a trivia and quiz section where I rule at guessing who played for what team and the definition of pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism.
  • It makes my 8 hours of work feel like 8 hours of bliss when I have said site on my screen.
  • It makes me sports smarter.
  • It's addictive.
Now the Negatives:
  • It is slow sometimes
  • It has bugs that need to be worked out
  • It seems that they are upgrading things and not working out the bugs.
  • It's addictive.
I would take a step back and think about the reasons for this so called FanIQ website being slow and this about all the possibilities. When the site is extremely slow, and nothing seems to be working, its is usually because one of CF's or 100% super spectacular blogs were linked by one  of the " better know" sports sites.  Which is awesome for the site as far as exposure, but makes it difficult for the regular users to navigate and sends these people into a fit of rage.
While I know that this can be difficult, you have to think about if its really worth it to get all worked up over it.  If the site is acting up and you feel the vein popping out in your forehead, maybe its time for a break.  Take a few hours, or the rest of the day doing something else.  For some of you that might mean, taking a shower for the first time in days, going to the optometrist because staring at the screen for so long has now made you not able to see anything that isn't 2 feet in front of your face, meeting your new born son for the first time..I mean you DID sign up 11 months ago( congrats btw... you are almost at a year!), working out a deal with your boss because it seems that he fired you months ago but you refuse to leave your desk, or going outside its the start of summer 08..thats right OOOOOOO EIGHT stop at the store and pick up some zinc oxide for your body being indoors for so long you might get a nasty burn.

I hope this helps you out anonymous,
Take care and have a great weekend.

Dear Mr Scenery,
Many women do have an insecurity about looking ishy when they go out at night, it is possible that they are dressing up to look better than a friend, or the hottie totties at the bar.  However,  low cut shirts, short skirt, high heals, and cleavage = Free drinks.. DUH!  I don't know where you hang out, but it is possible that all the women there are lesbians.. check the name of the bar, the couples in the corner and if all else fails ask the bartender or bouncer if this is a straight bar or a non straight bar..they usually don't lie.

Hope this helps, and keep your chin up..nobody likes a double chin.

Dear Towelie..
DUH it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that you are looking in the wrong places.. you my dear are a TOWEL.. go to the community pool and see if anyone needs a dry off or something. Bring along some antibiotic soap, and some peroxide, cause you never know what you could pick up there.

If the communicable diseases scare you off there are other places that love to hire for the summer, I am sure that with the warm weather and the kids off school there must be a higher demand for bouncers or babysitters.. either one interest you towel?

Hope this helps,

Dear Mrs. Randompants,

Thank you for your advice.  I do get along very well with most of the nurses, and I'm always joking around with a lot of the nursing aides.  Unfortunately, there are still a select few nurses who would like to blame transport for their mistakes.  I do not tolerate this well at all.  I know I am doing my job right, and I refuse to be blamed for a screw up by the nurse.  I once got into an argument with a doctor because he demanded that I take his patient back into the room so that he could examine him.  He told me "don't pop and attitude with me."  Fortunately for me, this happened right in front of the nurses' station, so I was in the clear.  Everyone saw that the doctor was the one with the attitude problem, and I had every right to tell him "if something happens to this patient now, it's YOUR responsibility because YOU told me to leave him on the stretcher!"

I apologize for ranting.

Mrs. Randompants,

I understand what you are saying, however, it seems like this is inappropriate for employees to be doing in a hospital.  Yelling for stupid things in front of patients is uncalled for, yet the doctors think they have priority.  One of our transporters was told to get off an elevator last week because a big lady was "in a hurry" and threatened to call her supervisor if the transporter didn't get off the elevator when she was transporting a patient!  If that happened to me, I would call my own supervisor right in front of her.

Furstrated

#31 | 540 days ago

Furstrated,
Everyone has a supervisor, even supervisors have supervisors.. If you can't work it out with these "co-workers" you go to their boss.  These "big guys" make big bucks therefore they think that they are better than the other people at the hospital.

Hopefully that helps.
Take care and buckle up, we don't need your pants fallin down.

Dear Raven,
This is a predicament that you have gotten into, and I am terribly sorry.  I think that you need to  think about why you can't leave the town that you live in, and what you don't like about it.  My suggestion to most of the scenarios would be to make the best out of what you have.  I know its hard to do, and probably something that you have tried, but if you can't leave, and you are miserable there, this my love is your only option.

Take care Raven,

Dear SOS,
If I am completely stressed out and I have an issue that I don't know how to handle, I usually call my mom.  She helps talk out what my problem is and even if she doesn't have an answer or solution, she always makes me feel better about it.  It's always good to have someone you can talk to about your problems, a sound board of sorts.  I have a few of them depending on the issues, but its good to have at least one.

Hope this helps.

Dear N.T. Randompants,

Now that summer is almost here, I'm afraid that I won't be able to devote enough time to my routine of previous summers - online poker, listening to Howard Stern, Fan IQ, and chatting on Yahoo.  Between an overactive child (who will be home with me full-time for the first time) and coaching a baseball team, I'm afraid life as I once knew it is over.

Based on your vast experience as a professional domestic engineer, how can I manage to salvage some of the good life?  I mean, I haven't even been on YIM in like six months!  HELP!

Dear Swamped,
I would definitely look into getting her into something for the summer, once or twice a week is good, this will allow an outlet for both you and her to get out of the house and do something fun.  Structure and schedules are going to be a key part in both of your lives.  Is she going to be at the baseball practices and games?  if so you need to have a job for her to do, one that she will be happy and excited to do for you.  This will keep her busy and it will also help you both out.  You should also have quiet time every day, this may mean for you to get a few things done with your team, yahoo, or the Q.  For her a movie, coloring, a book, or even a nap.

Your online life and your Howard Stern listening to days are probably going to get to a minimum with being a stay at home daddy.. don't try to tackle both until you have her under control.

Hope this helps, and I am sorry that I can't help you devote your summer to the Q and the Hoo.. maybe next year ;)

HELP!

Thank you in advance for your expertise,

Swamped in SC

Sorry but that's just Poor Quality friendship from you Ryan... skipping on the YIM...

(Edited by Beaneaters)

Dear Mrs. Randompants, I guess since turning 50, it's like I have had some moments of memory loss. I seem to have it occurring at work a little more than at home. I mean, at home I seem to remember the location of all the important facets of a normal home-life, you know, the frig, the couch, and so on. But when I am at work I have people constantly coming up to me and asking, "are you ever going to get finished with this" or "are you finished with that" or "what heck is taking so long" or "dude, you just gotta keep your head off of the keyboard and wipe that sh*t off your mouth", and all I can do is gaze up at folks with that 'WTF' look. My question to you is, do you think CVS brand ginkgo biloba is actually worth $3.95?

Thanks,

Ummm... Uhhh...  The Beaneaters, yeah... Beaneaters

Dear Mrs. Randompants,

I have....this friend, yeah a friend who says it burns real bad when he pees.  I'm always itching down there too I told him he should probably see a Dr. ASAP & cut out all of the promiscuous, hot, sweaty, wildy erotic & crazy fornication in his life.  I My friend doesn't like this advice and I told him I think my his wee-wee will fall off before long if he doesn't stop.

What do you suggest?

Thanks,

Dear Beanie,
I am sorry I didnt see these till now.  but I bet you forgot you wrote it ;)
Sounds to me like you don't have memory loss, you have what is called FanIQitise.  what this is, is where you can't DO anything but FanIQ, you start wanting to give people TU's for what they say, you start walking up to large breasted women and either rating the 1-10 or saying DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYUM, when people talk to you you find yourself actually air typing a response to them and hitting the backspace key for typos, and SHIFT TO YELL.

There really IS no cure for this, ginko won't help, even if it is only 3.95... the only thing it will help you do it remember comments that you never got an answer from... 14 days prior.

I hope this helps.

Dear nasty friend..
You are Nasty.. you need to invest in some rubbers, jimmies, raincoats, hazmat suits, love glove, gummimands, lummeltute, naughty bag, safety tool, venus shirt, bullet proof vest, a condom dude.. buy some, use them..

Remember although you can use a condom as a balloon, you CAN NOT use a balloon as a condom.

Fully disgusted,

(Awww tooty all growed up!)

Dear needananswer,
Beer is gross! and harder to hide.  While to don't condone underage drinking, bottles are easier to hide.

My only advice to you regarding this, is be careful... not about finding a good spot but in general.  There is only one tooty, and we don't want anything bad happening to you.  Don't drink and drive, don't drink too much, and don't forget the advice above you. ;)

Keep that in mind and you will do just fine.

It depends on how far they are into their divorce.  But I would suggest just staying friends and being there for support until its over.
