Fisher has never won the award before, and he has the longest running tenure with his team in the league, and 3rd overall in American professional sports, behind Jerry Sloan (Utah Jazz) and Bobby Cox (Atlanta Braves).

It's still to early to hand out any awards. I know he is a good coach but I will always question his reasoning  for drafting Vince Young.

Drafting doesn't fall on the head coach alone, there is a whole staff of people that make that help make that decision.  And while Vince is definitely a draft bust, his career in Tennessee isn't over yet, so he could redeem himself.  Fisher deserves this award more than any other coach in football, unless you give the award to Tom Coughlin for the job he did last year bringing his team through a rough season to win the Superbowl...

Fisher is always solid...give him the nod, since no other coach is really standing out

Right now, I think it comes down to him and Mike Smith.  A first year coach, a first year QB, and a first year starting RB, w/ this team's recent history, should not be sitting a game out of the division lead half way through.  But that why they play 16 games.

Jeff Fisher is The Ultimate Players coach. He can't help for the way they come to him, BUT, When they leave and come back they are completely different citizens that are ready to work hard for him. I love Jeff Fisher"The Coach".

In a way, that's even more reason he should be coach of the year ... ha.

I don't think there is anyone else even close at this point.

Other than Coughlin, there is noone else even close.  And the Giants just came off winning the Super Bowl.  Noone had the Titans being 11-1.
