What do you think about this new flood of polls in the Hangout?

Recently there has been lots of polls everyday being posted in the Hangout. How do you feel about all of these polls?

#1 \| 2530 days ago Lance (+)	I do not want to discourage anyone from making polls. Because without you guys this site wouldn't be what it is. At the same time though we need to start thinking quality over quanity. Not everything that pops in your head should/can be made into a poll. Also, please if you are going to make polls lets try and spell things correctly. I see a lot of spelling errors in the hangout polls titles and I really think that makes FanIQ look cheap and brings down FanIQ. It is overwhelming; A lot of polls are just being mass produced and the quality of the polls and FanIQ is suffering because of it.

#2 \| 2530 days ago Matt (+)	I love the hangout polls, but I dont see any reason to make 100 polls in a row. It would be better to just have everybody keep the limit to 5 a day. It is overwhelming; A lot of polls are just being mass produced and the quality of the polls and FanIQ is suffering because of it.

#3 \| 2530 days ago senecasfinest (+)	(Edited by senecasfinest) I think it would be ideal if the mass-produced "greatest ___" polls were made more wisely. You can have more than one of those in the same multiple choice poll, up to 8, I believe. That would just make things a lot easier when wading through pages of new polls. But, I enjoy them, as well, I just think they can be made more efficiently. It is a good thing; Some of the polls can be made better but overall I like it.

#4 \| 2530 days ago JewelOfSong (+)	I think a lot of the polls can be consolidated, as seneca has said. Also, as Ischulte pointed out, a little time needs to be taken to proof read polls. It is a good thing; Some of the polls can be made better but overall I like it.

#5 \| 2530 days ago Lance (+)	Definently, that is my main point exactly. All of those polls can and should be combined into 8 question polls. Then FanIQ would have a lot less clutter in the hangout. Then they would be easier to keep track of and I would be more willing to take them. I just honestly feel like I have commented many times to the main pollers of the hangout(you know who you are) and I have asked them to try and combine their polls more into one 8 question poll but they continue to just make all of these one question polls. By completely ignoring my attempts to help it just makes me feel more and more that they just want to keep adding to their "Polls Created" tally than helping out FanIQ and making better polls. It is overwhelming; A lot of polls are just being mass produced and the quality of the polls and FanIQ is suffering because of it.

#6 \| 2530 days ago Dave (+)	(Edited by Dave) I think the biggest tell on the "mass producing" is do you even enter or comment on your own polls? I like to enter early, and then go back several times and see what is being posted. Sometimes you can spark a good post with an odd question. Sometimes you strike out on them. At one point there was a poll about limiting the number of polls that somebody could make in a day. Ty's view on it was that the site wasn't anywhere near capacity for members or polls and welcomed a "the more the merrier" view. At the end of the day though - quality counts and one way you figure out what people like is by seeing what they respond to. I've always thought that some of the polls didn't need to be up for as long as they were, "Never" ending seems to be an overkill to me. It is a good thing; Some of the polls can be made better but overall I like it.

#7 \| 2530 days ago Kerri (+)	i completely agree with the "never" being an overkill... i would love to see like a 10 day time limit on polls, that way it wouldnt seem so crowded and the time to search for unanswered polls would be cut way down as they would expire and eventually drop off. It is a good thing; Some of the polls can be made better but overall I like it.

#8 \| 2530 days ago Michael (+)	All these music and game polls could be consolidated by having 6 or 8 choices; as is, it IS a bit overwhelming and takes too long to sort through everything. I weary of it quite frankly; even though I like the topics(except games which I don't play, sorry). It is a good thing; Some of the polls can be made better but overall I like it.

To me the hangout is supposed to be a fun place to come and create or answer FUN polls. It is a Great thing; The more polls the better

#12 \| 2517 days ago Helen (+)	I just skip the silly ones, or repetitive ones, or the ones I don't have any interest in answering like which movie, song,band etc. is best. Those drive me nuts because sometimes that's all there is on one whole page and I have to keep skipping over them. Maybe if there were a way to put the polls in categories where all that were similar fell under one heading and you could just click on the title to get to them it would be easier to participate in the ones that interest you. I don't care either way.

#13 \| 2514 days ago Big_Country78 (+)	im kinda hanging out till Football starts. i figured all the non uber-baseball fans were doing the same thing, now that MLB is the the only thing going on (sorry NASCAR doesn't enter my brain), when NCAA and NFL and NBA are all going on i figure some of us will be here less (prolly me). It is a good thing; Some of the polls can be made better but overall I like it.
