#1 \| 2557 days ago JewelOfSong (+)	I saw them open up for 311 a couple summers ago. I thought they were good, but I'm not a fan of theirs, so what do I know? The friends I was with who are Roots fans were disappointed with their live performance. yes (explain)

#3 \| 2557 days ago hit-55 (+)	(Edited by hit-55) i saw them on the same tour i am a fan of some rap (i listen to it back in the mid 80's to mid 90's before it was popular) but i had never heard any of their stuff except "what they do" with erykah badu so i didn't know much about them i was completely blown away they are phenomenal live i went out the next day and got their last 2 albums phrenology and the tipping point they came back by themselves a little while later but i missed it (i didn't hear about it until the day after the show ) what a bummer but i will not miss them again and to anyone who hasn't seen them live please do yourself a favor and go they are all excellent musicains they almost upstaged 311 they put on one hell of a show questlove does one of the best drum solos i have ever seen yes (explain)

#4 \| 2556 days ago Mizzy (+)	I've seen them twice w/Run-DMC which i drove 2 hours through a blizzard to attend, and w/Outkast which required a 3.5 hour drive back to school and then attend class 4 hours later. The Roots are awesome and if you have the opportunity to see them you should. They may very well be the best live act right now. yes (explain)

#6 \| 2555 days ago Mizzy (+)	The Roots/Run-DMC was a once in a lifetime opportunity so when time came and it was snowing about an inch an hour and I needed to "borrow" a friends suv while he was in the hospital, I did what I had to do. It was worth it. yes (explain)

#7 \| 2554 days ago Big_Country78 (+)	yes i saw them at the Pageant in St. Louis with Cee-lo. im going to see them there again next month. they are good! good live (which is rare is rap music), and great for playing thier own instruments (which is unheard of in rap music) yes (explain)
