So this is what letdown looks like

by CriticalFanatic CriticalFanatic 9/20/063 Comment Comments »
So this is what letdown looks like PhotoEven myself, as crazed a college football fan as you'll find, can admit this weekend's slate of games is less than inspiring. As awesome as Separation Saturday turned out, the only problem beside poor officiating, is that these subsequent Saturday's may pale in comparison.

There is however one game (that I may have mentioned) the will be the highlight game - Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs Michigan State. Affectionately referred to as "Flag Gate" after the Spartans left a stamp of approval on the hallowed growns beneath Touch Down Jesus. Yours truly will be in attendance, and I'm counting down the hours, minutes and seconds.

Among the other key games:

Wisconsin at Michigan - can the Wolverines avoid the letdown?
Penn State at Ohio State - We find out just how good are the Nittany Lions
Arizona State at California - Good PAC 10 measuring stick

I think we already found out about Penn State, and the answer is not very.

If there loss to Notre Dame is any indication, they are in for a long afternoon against Ohio State.

I should also included Arkansas and Alabama ... that's a fairly interesting game amongs mid level SEC Teams. Time to find out what freshman Mitch Mustain has in a big rivalry game.

Southern Cal visits Arizona which is also intriguing ... I mean the Wildcats have certainly caught on the whole single coverage sign now that Brent Musberger totally ruined the Trojans season.
