Yeah brother. United match-ups are always high on the drama side, whether they win or not. Look at the 1999 Champions League final if you want. They have a knack of coming from behind.

Whether anyone likes it or not, Liverpool is the greatest football club in England and and one of the best in Europe. From the records they are better than Man u. Many people are just carried away rightly because of the recent successes of Man U in recent years not remembering that before the coming of Ferguson Man U was without a trophy for about 17 yrs. Liverpool is greatest.

 Man Utd, based on current form, and also based on their EPL dominance over the last decade. Liverpool in EPL is similar to Boston Celtics in NBA, in that both teams are over-hyped but have got little to show for the last 20 years or so (Celtics are better off coz they hav won last year's championship), and their fans harp about championships won some 20-40 years ago.

Also player to player Man Utd is a far better team than Liverpool. Sir Alex is cleverer than Rafa Benitez and is the better manager. Benitez just doesn't know how to rotate his squad and often makes foolish substitutions which are solely responsible for the losses in those matches. Man Utd can compete for all the championships and the team that comes closest to it in EPL is Chelsea but we all know the situation there :D

 I think this poll should have had a third option, "too close to call".  While subjectively I will always root for Liverpool, I have to say that objectively I cannot say at this point which team is better overall.  These are two highly competitive teams and both are shining example of why Soccer (Football, Futbol) is the most popular sport in the world.  I don't think I have ever seen either of them turn in a bad performance.  I am thrilled that Liverpool pounded United so completely, but next time they face off, I'll still be sweating bullets for 90 minutes!

If we look into the history, these to teams really is a legend in english football... for the past years, SAF couldnt make it on top of Liverpool until 5 years in-charge of Manchester United. Overall, counting the history, if Man U gonna win the league this season, its level with Liverpool on Domestic League title.. 18 times. Liverpool have been the champions of europe 5 times compared to Man U only 3 times. Overall title/trophy are still Liverpool (58) leading Man U (55) by 3 trophy.

Ok lets say history is the past, we talk about now.. (still when there are no history, no one wouldn't notice this two team.. heh). Yes now Man U seems stronger than Liverpool in these recent years (ahh.. the recent years also history right? NOT COUNTED!) This season, Man U is more compact and more consistent than any other team in EPL but this is all about Man U and Liverpool right ? And its this season? Oh yes.. Liverpool managed to beat Man U in Anfield and humiliated them at Old Trafford. So head-to-head, for this season.. Liverpool owns Man U.
