Unfair advantage for cup guys?
My wife and I were watching the Busc... I mean Nationwide race Saturday, when she sees drivers Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards and Clint Bowyer along with some other Winst...Nexte.... Sprint cup drivers in that race. She continues to go on and on about how they shouldn't be able to race in 2 or even 3 series when they are already in the Sprint cup series. It create an unfair advantage for the Sunday drivers when they race Nationwide and/or Craftsm...Camping World (trucks) the same weekend.

What are your thoughts on this? Does this create an unfair advantage, should the Cup regulars be able to race in the other 2 lower series?

If it wasnt for the cup guys going to a lower series, most of the time they would not fill the field. The cup guys are used as fillers. Also, without the cup boys in the race the ratings for the lower series would not be as good as it is. So yes I think they should be able to race the other series. I do not think they have an advantage as most the good guys have raced the tracks before.

Very true. Many people wouldn't watch if none of the cup guys were involved. Not all of them need to be but it does need some of them. It could go either way for the Nationwide only drivers. They either improve because they are racing against Cup series veterans week in week out, or they loose their rides to the cup guys...but we really do need them in the lower series

i feel the cup guys should be able to do it, but have a cap on how many races they can compete in for that year, like only allow them to compete in only 5 races, that way the guys who are stricly nationwide drivers have a chance for a championship and can really show there stuff, or let the sprint guys come down to the lower series's but only let them compete for 1/2 the points.. i think it would make it more fair, so you dont have someone who could win the Sprint cup Nationwide cup in the same season..

They should be able to because it gives the Nationwide drivers the opportunity to know what it's like to drive against the big boys. I don't think that they should be able to accumulate or collect points though. I'm sick and tired of a Sprint Cup driver winning a Nationwide Championship. Woo-hoo, Clint Bowyer won a Nationwide Championship. He should have, he raced EVERY single race along with Carl Edwards and David Ragan. Too bad for Clint that's the only racing championship he will see.

i don't mind them racing in the nationwide series, i just think there should be a limit on how many races they can enter.
