4/5 - Chasing Joe D, The FanIQ Hitting Streak (Season 2 Begins)

Have you ever wondered if you could accomplish what Joe Dimaggio did?  Well here's your chance.  See how many days in-a-row you can select a batter that gets a base hit, and be the person to string together the longest FanIQ hitting streak.

The rules:

  • Pick which hitter you think will get a hit that day.  Only question #1 matters for the streak.  I added questions 2 and 3 to give the poll more value.
  • If you miss a day, your streak is over.  Sorry, but I'm not keeping up with who made a pick 3 days ago.  All I'm worrying about is who has green letters next to their name for question #1.
  • If you select a hitter that does not play that day, it will NOT count against you.  Your streak will remain the same as it did coming into the day.  But a pinch-hit appearance counts!!!!!!!!!
  • You may change your answer.  If you want to change your answer for the day, you may do so by posting your choice in the comment section on that poll.  This has to be done before the poll closes!!
  • If the hitter you selected does not play that day and you change your pick in the comment section, IT COUNTS.  I won't play the "I didn't mean it" game.
  • I'm using MLB's official scoring.  If a ruling is changed after a game, I will edit the scoring on that day's poll.
  • I will use random hitters each day, trying not to use the same players over and over again.  I will take request, within reason.  I won't put a hitter on their just because you like him.  He has to be a viable candidate to get a hit.  (someone that people would actually choose).
  • If none of the listed players get a hit, all streaks continue.  All current streaks will carry over to the next days poll.  I can't punish everyone just because I made a bad list for the day.

That's it.  If you have any other questions, just let me know.  Good luck everyone!!!

There is only one game today, so I'm using 4 random hitters from each team.  Tomorrow's poll will have plenty more to choose from.

I'm not going to do so many obscure lists like last season.  It was fun doing a poll with players only born in Alaska, but it took away from the fun of the poll, IMO.  We didn't have as many long streaks as I had hoped.  I'll try to use as many different players as possible to keep it from getting monotonous (and I will always take suggestions if there is a certain player that you would like to see on the list), but I want to keep people that are among the league leaders in hits (at least top 100) or hitters on a hot streak.  I want to see a lot of long streaks this season.
