 I'm old school... But if changing coaching personal and players, and now logo.... Hey whatever works. Cant get worse than last year. I think they'll be much improved, yet just mediocore... 8-8 season

 I for one am a diehard Lions fan -- ya ya laugh your arse off -- A Logo means nothing but making appearances look better -- Ever look at some of the old logos of some of the so called best teams around -- Now some of those really do have something to be desired - Be real were all the teams logos great -- NO they were not --- Logos do not mean a team is going to get better --- Management is what makes or breaks a team not a dang logo

 For all the hype leading up to the release of the new logo, I expected a more drastic change...

...It certainly looks better, but I suspect the logo change on the helmets will not be that noticeable from up in the stands.

That said, I think that logo would look even better if it were to end up on Aaron Curry's helmet!

after you go 0-16, you gotta do something, so it cannot hurt to distance yourself from that team that went 0-16 by changing your look

 Perhaps withe the new logo and GM and Coach it will spur a new attitude amongst the Lions and they will do better and work for something positive in thier future. One can only hope so.

 I think it's great when teams upgrade their looks.  Not NBA drastic (seriously, how often can u change team colors?), but when it's a subtle, modern take like this, I love it.  I wish the Giants would tweak theirs.  Again, nothing too drastic, but they're uni's don't even make sense.

 It's not a matter of logo marketing.  Are the Detroit Lions committed to improving their organization onto a winning franchise?  It hasn't happened in my life time thus far.  The only highlight was the Wayne Fonts era.  That's not saying much.  Another one bites the dust.

  they r copying the falcons and cardinals. they both changed looks and had unique quarterback systems this year and they both made the play-offs with the cardinals making the super bowl. i doubt the lions will do that but it's worth a shot

Its not as drastic as the Buc's change in the 90's  but i like that they recognize that history hasn't been good to them.. its good for jersey sales and a fresh start in the way that putting on cologne after not showering for a day ... basically they trying not to stink so bad ..i say they finish with 5-6 wins but coming from zero thats a huge upgrade

 People forget that before the disastrous Matt Millen reign of terror, the Lions were an average 7-8/8-8 team every year. They can win 3-4 games in 2009 and they are going in the right direction. I mean, after you hit rock bottom you can only get better. The new logo looks good and I've always thought the Honolulu blue jerseys were pretty decent looking anyways. Good luck to them and their fans this year, they deserve a couple wins!

 Everything about this team needs to change. They don't expect to win so they cant. Bringing in a new look is one of many things this team needs to do. I like them bringing in a new head coach, new rookie QB will soon help, but more importantly their attitude must change.

 If it ain't broke don't fix.....wait, it was broke all right.  It reminds me of an AFL logo or something.    It sure won't help them get better, but I guess when you're the first team in NFL history to go 0-fer in a 16 game season, ya gotta do anything to improve your image.

 People.  Do NOT change logos or uniforms...especially colors.  My biggest pet peave on the planet.  I hate the Yankess but I love that Derek Jeter is wearing essentially the same uni as Babe Ruth.
