As I have stated before  -each mod has a different opinion on each topic/pic which creates a problem. They are not following the CoC as it is written. This site is said to be PG 13 as it has been explained to me several times. He*l no it's not. Follow the CoC as it is written and be consistent. I'm just saying.

 Yes there is some minor inconsistencies between Mods.  that is why a lot of times we discuss things in detail before proceeding forward.  Here is the law on Photos: No Nudity, not even areolas.  If it's a wet t-shirt, you cannot see a different color of the nipple/areola.  There can be no cussing in the pics, there can be no flipping the bird in the pics.  And one I just learned the other day, as stated above, no topless women, even if they are covering their breasts, thus the reason for the deleted cowgirl pic with the strategically placed rope.  there is to be no pics whatsoever if they aren't relevant to the thread.  ie, if someone asks which is better, baseball or football, even if she is wearing a skintight ref uniform, it's not really relevant to the thread.  Like i've said before, there is no reason for this much near nudity girls on the site, but as long as they fall within the CoC, they stay.  What I have written is how I will be moderating pics, because I have talked to Jess about it, and that is how it goes.  We always send messages to the people that we delete pics of letting them know why.  Repeat offenders are suspended and banned.  If you ever have questions, ask a mod.  Help the site, and report material to a mod so it can be removed.  don't use an excuse of so and so did it, why can't I.  Mods are here to keep things running smoothly, not to be jerks.  If you help us, it all runs smooth.

 Based on a Mod thread, we delete plenty of accounts a day because kids claim they are under 13.  You are supposed to be 13 to join.  Obviously, nudity would not be allowed, nor certain cuss words.  I know there is a lot of sh!t, b!tch, and f'n going on all over the site.  those have been acceptable as long as I have been here, altho if it were to be gotten rid of completely, it wouldn't bother me.  there are alcohol references allowed here, but not drug use.  why is that? i don't know, but that is how it goes.  if you would like to make suggestions on how to make it more PG-13, i'm sure Ty and Jess would appreciate it.  Or you can mail to me and we can work on it.  As you know, nothing is perfect, and we do our best to make it a good, fun, safe site.

This website is PG 13 and it will be that way.  Failure to keep this website at a PG 13 level will result in posts being deleted, warnings, and ultimately if necessary suspensions and banishment.  Moderators don't want to do these types of things, which is why we ask for your assistance and commitment towards keeping the site PG 13, but if it is need these actions are taken.

 I hope we can all work together on this. It's obviously a hot topic. I also hope we can keep this poll on topic and not bash the moderators. I'm here working many hours a day to make FanIQ a great site for anyone 13 years of age or older to enjoy. Many of the mods do the same and none of us are paid to do this. At times, some of us concentrate our efforts in certain areas besides photos. Thus, it's natural to assume the mods that aren't as vocal don't care. That's not true. We have our work cut out for us and oftentimes work behind the scenes striving to raise the standard of quality content on the Q.

Nude photos just don't have any place on a website of this high quality.

 I think it's pretty ironic that after answering the poll and reading the comments, I scroll to the bottom of the page and what should be suggested in "Polls You Might Like"...  BoNuS Thong of the Week Apr#5 and Thong of the Day 4/29/09.  That's pretty good.  The ol' misdirection tactic.  I guess covering your breasts with your hands is far more offensive that women bent over in thongs.

 i will admit that most pics are of women.  It is supposed to be all pics.  And mods are known to edit other mods comments for irrelevancy.  If you have some that you believe are irrelevant, go ahead and report it to a mod.

 It basically means read the Code of Conduct and stay within those guidelines.  Taking slams or jabs at others or the moderators isn't helpin anything.  The idea is to work together to make the Q the best SPORTS site we can!  It's really NOT that difficult.

I am presuming it was fairly obvious I was replying to your post as it is shown above my reply.  Not that my actions require explanation, but..  I was about to post yesterday, when Pat posted.  He said pretty much exactly what I was going to say.  Would it help if I said it again?  I didn't see any need to post the same thing right after him.  Today I came here to read comments, and you had posted and seemed to be asking a question, so I answered.  Apparently hskrdave posted at the same time as I didn't see his post til just now.

 I just believe that the Moderators need to have more consistency in their "disciplinary actions" and/or actions against COC offenders. For instance, some members get "disciplined" for using offensive language hidden by symbols and asterisks- while others WHOLE posts are one big swearing fest hidden by symbols. And yes, I have used swear words hidden by symbols as well (just so people know that I'm not singling anyone out)!  I believe that consistency is the key to enforcement of the COC and I believe that the consistency has been seriously lacking for whatever reason that may be.  A punishment should be a punishment no matter WHOM that person may be who broke the COC- and I've seen some very obvious bias for those members who are "Q Favorites"! This isn't a popularity contest- it is a SPORTS SITE!

I didn't realize that clarifying the CoC and asking why some moderators violated the same new enforcement of the policy was considered "taking slams or jabs"

Ok so you asked me to report it, and I would like it to be public, as I know a number of other folks are very interested in this interpretation and the consistency of its enforcement.

On the following thread, a picture that is not at all related to sports was posted by a moderator. This moderator vehemently disagrees that it is irrelevant, even though it is not about the topic, which is A-Rod and steroids. Should it be deleted?

 Unfortunately Alan, I'm going to agree with the Mods on this one.  I'm sure you want to reply big shock in a nice sarcastic tone.  I might also.  

the comment was made and the reference (pic) was added to reinforce the comment.  I did the same thing here in comment 6, and some other have done it as well, to reinforce comments that have been made about the thread.

as i said before, it is mostly pics of women.  pics of women have been used in trivia and quizzes, when the questions were about NBA records (not sure if that one actually happened, i'm not on the trivia team, but that is the general idea).  I think if someone were to go into a thread, where they were talking about the Huskers recruiting class, and post a pic of husker fan in a bikini saying she approved, I would remove that because she is probably a nobody, just a model in a bikini.

You want my honesty: I would remove every uploaded pic by users that had girls in bikini's.  Especially ones that have uploaded/collected over 800  pics and have done nothing else on the site.  I can tell because their trivia/quiz/prediction points are  like at 800.  Not to mention the server space it would open up, and allow the site to run more smoothly.  I have said this all before privately, and somewhat publicly.

I'm sorry if you don't like the answer, but it is the one I have.

 Just to reiterate; Dave's right. Mainly the problem was that people were posting pictures of half-naked people in polls and forums which they had no business. When people want to roam the site with their children nearby, or when they're on a "break" (psh) at work, the last thing they need is to be taking a poll about something completely innocent and then BAM there's a picture of a half naked woman filling up their screen. It's one thing if they go into "Thong of the Day", knowingly venturing into an area that they know they're risking it, but quite another when they're not expecting it, and it's certainly not fair to them or their children to have to run across that stuff. As far as I'm concerned, the rule with the irrelevant pictures in polls was created for pictures that may be offensive to any of the users on the site. And, as hard as it is to believe, some people who use the site are offended by half naked women and shouldn't have to see them in every poll or forum here.

There is also a gray area, and that gray area allows the moderators to use their judgment on some things. We're only human, and we do our jobs differently. There is consistency where things are specific and may be some inconsistency in that gray area. For example, one moderator might delete a comment with several profanities while another may edit those profanities and leave the comment. One moderator may completely remove a poll that was created poorly while another may edit it.

With this type of gray stuff, the consistency is in how the moderators handle the situation after the initial action. No matter how they handle a situation, they are to send a tactful message to the person explaining what they did and why they did it, and document in the moderator league how it was handled. Naturally, some are more lenient than others, and that's ok. However, if you see something that seems completely unfair, please let me know.

 I think honestly if everyone would follow the CoC instead of those who like to push the envelope and see how much they can get away with, it would make it better for everyone.  The CoC was obviously put in place for a reason, and it really isn't that hard or asking that much to follow it.  There are enough places on the net to see nekkid pics, there is absolutely no need for them here.
