Who would you invite to a "Entertainment Superstars" dinner.

For those of you who participated in my "Hall of Famer" poll you know that there have been some lively discussions about this topic; and some strong feelings about those who I did not include in my list of "Hall of Famers". Now I'm really about to open a can of worms (per se).

You have the opportunity to sit and have dinner with 5 consensus "Entertainment Superstars"; who do you invite to the table?

I Have limited the choices to 40 male "Entertainment Superstars" from various realms of the entertainment world whom, I am extremely confident that in any barbershop, sandlot or union hall would be consensus choices for recognition as either the best or possibly having a significant impact on their respective industries.

This list includes various actors, directors, comedians, singers and industry moguls. And in compiling this list I attempted to look at both the individuals 'body of work' and cultural/societal impact. All but two people on this list is either represented with  star on the "Walk of Fame" or has been nominated/enshrined in the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame". Of the two that are not represented in the Hall or Walk of Fame reasonable cases can be made for thier inclusion.

In assembling this poll I tussled within my own conscious as to whether to include artist from the genre that includes 'Rap music'; where depending on age and cultural upbringing, you may or may not even consider these artist worthy of any recognition as a "Entertainment Superstars" or thier craft as music.

There is always room for argument that others could be included in this list of choices; but, "It is what it is."

So let the debate begin.

Elvis-The King of Rock-N-Roll....would be the musical entertainment and if you know anything about The King, he knew how to have fun.

Richard Pryor-Perhaps my all time favorite comedian.  We are going to be laughing all night.

Dean Martin-Cocktails, cocktails and more cocktails.

Great poll.

Off of this list I'd invite Elvis...we served in the same unit in Friedberg, Germany...different eras, same unit. They still have the clippers they cut his hair with in the barbershop....

Groucho Marx cuz he's a funny mofo and I love the Marx Bros movies.

Ted Williams....because Ted is the real life John Wayne

Megan Fox, Scarlett Johannsen, and the one in the picture to the left.

Frank - see above plus drinks
Clint - too cool and he is probably packing his .45
1. Elvis Presley  2. Frank Sinatra  3. Clint Eastwood  4.   5.

At 37 I was to young to see them all in their heyday, however I would have loved to been a fly on the wall during the Rat Pack days.

Groucho and Carlin, because both were masters of making the English language funny...seat one on either side of me, and I'll die a happy man. Elvis, because, as John Lennon said: "Before anyone did anything, Elvis did everything". I'm sure he would have many great stories to tell.

Oh gosh, too many on the list to nail just three!  So often the lists have too many choices, this one too few.  I pick the three funniest guys of all-time.  I will probably die laughing with those three playing one-upmanship, but what a way to go!  Johnny Carson could perhaps be there too, maybe the waiter., and Mel Brooks could be the Maitre'd.

If I survive this night the next dinner (can I have two, pretty please?) would be Elvis, John Lennon and Frank Sinatra whom I think are the three most influential male singers of all-time.
1. Bill Cosby  2. Groucho Marx  3. Richard Pryor  4.   5.

I had a hard time deciding. I would just love to throw my 3 in a room and see what the conversation was like. Ozzie and Hitchcock being two odd characters and opposites as far as culture and attire are concerned and Redd Foxx to give us a little humor. Most don't know that Redd Foxx was a comedian who told dirty jokes for a living. He didn't just do Sanford and Son. I think they should just bring in Katt Williams, Luenell and Red and have a good time. Nothing like Katthouse Comedy. Luenell would be a crowd pleaser...lol

Bill Cosby because he's just a cool, funny, wholesome guy. I  think I can get some good laughs and good advice about life.

Elvis because he's the freakin' King and I'd want fat Elvis because I'd like to see how much food he can pound down

Michael Jackson because I'd like to know why the secret behind his pigment starved skin and why he's such a weirdo now.

1. T. O -  so I could kick his f**king ass
2. Brett Favre - so I can tell him to retire already or break his legs so he can't play
3. Tom Brady - so I can reenact the f**king snow job fumble that wasn't a fumble. He would get smashed and would never play again

Now I feel like I'm back to normal.

Johnny Carson

This is the ultimate example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. There would definitely be a night of wine, women, and song, and of course tons of laughs.
