#20 | 1768 days ago

acc. 2 me our dada is the best left hand batsmen among all above these . Considering his records in test matches & ODI....no other left handed indian batsman is near to Ganguly.......looking after his  past records and matches he is the best among all of them . He is a iconic player of our country n the most run getter after sachin tendulkar. according to me he is a master n magician of off side strokes. He is the one who made many patnerships n records in opening with sachin. He is also a gr8 stroke player ,   those long sixesr still in my mind .. his batting is awawsom ..  gambir , yuvraj, n raina r also nice players , but they hv to stiil lot 2 prove to b competitve with ganguly ... thts

Sourav’s phenomenal Test debut at Lords and his brilliance as a batsman and later as a captain need no introduction. Just within four and half years of taking over the mantle of captainship, Sourav not only emerged as India’s most successful Test captain with 21 wins, as much as 11 of those were achieved abroad. But, immediately after India’s Test series win at Zimbabwe in 2005, Sourav was sacked from the job. Can any pundit cite any second instance from the history of world cricket when the captain lost his job for his “sin” of winning a series? In the first Test of that series at Bulawayo, Sourav cracked a match-winning century. Still he found himself dropped from the team as well ! Still Sourav made a brilliant comeback in the Johannesburg Test( 2006) playing crucial innings of 51 and 25 not out and his ODI comeback got recorded in Nagpur with a scintillating 98 against West Indies. Despite amassing 1240 runs in next 30 matches with an
average of 44.28 and 12 half centuries, Sourav found himself permanently out from the ODI team due to his “old” age!  But he was not allowed to retain his place in the Test side as well.
In the Sri Lanka tour of 2008, each and every Indian batsman (barring Goutam Gambhir) flopped miserably. But it was none other than Sourav who was made the scapegoat and got dropped from the Rest Of India squad for the Irani Trophy. It may be taken note of that Sachin aggregated one run less than Sourav in the Sri Lanka tour and post-comeback (late 2006) till the end of the Sri Lanka series, Sourav was India’s most successful Test batsman (1667 runs) with an average of 45.05, Sachin being the distant-second( 1408 runs). The Rest of India squad comprised of cricketers destined to play against the Australians in the forthcoming Test series. Thus Sourav’s exclusion from the squad meant that he was not in the radar of the selectors. Far from getting disheartened, Sourav vowed to play for at least another two years. But, surprisingly, the selectors named Sourav for the first two Tests against Australia. And immediately thereafter,
Sourav announced his retirement from international cricket. Thus one need not have to possess the IQ of Sherlock Holmes to safely conclude that Sourav was offered a deal to make an “honourable” exit from the scene which the cornered southpaw was in no position to refuse. A series average of 54 marked Sourav’s swan-song. Thus Sourav had to bow out from the arena despite remaining in brilliant form.

Yuvi is d best considering d tallent that he posses. The most stylish left hander in d world. Ganguly has played so many matchesand scored so many runs but have have scored very less on needed ocassions.A player's standard shud b judged by his performance against quality opponents and the amount of runs scored by him for his team.F or instant it was Yuvraj's heroics that India cud win t20 worldcup title.Ganguly has nevr been such an imposing player. His performance has gone down against quality attacks.
