Hootie and the Blowfish (Edited 02/27/07 05:03PM by Seth)
You may have heard of these guys. maybe not. I used to play Beach Volleyball against them at "The Windjammer" on Folly Beach in Charleston, SC. They were fun to hang out with and not pretentious at all. Of course, they hadn't sold millions of CD's yet either.  They now have a lounge named after them here in Las Vegas at the Silverton Casino and Lodge. Haven't seen them yet as my wife isn't a big fan.

I am from Columbia, SC, and saw them about 20 times before they ever released their first cd. I was sick of their songs before they were released nationally. They are Gamecocks though, so they are cool with me.

I've been to the Windjammer!  But I didn't play volleyball with Hootie...or the blowfish...or you!

Last time I was there was Fall 2002. It was quite different. Other than a few streets Downtown and the buildings themselves, Charleston was MUCH different.

While I like the downtown area (yes...it is changing!), I really love Sullivan's Island and Isle Of Palms.  Plus...I don't have to cross the Cooper River to get there and get confused by all the one way streets!

I used to watch them at five points in Columbia. I remember watching Alabama at The Bowery at Myrtle Beach.
