Consider that the Lakers won both meetings including snapping Cleveland's long home-court winning streak this season, handing them their only regular season home-loss outside of the final game (which they played none of their starters and lost to 76ers). Outside of that Kobe outplayed LeBron in these matchups and is one of the few NBA players to be able to properly guard him. Pretty safe to assume the Lakers would win...

Lakers should win. When you look at there squad from top to bottom, the Lakers are deeper on the bench and their starting five is better. This is even with Shaq. It still doesn't make a difference because Lebron has no consistant help. He's the only one who shows up on a nightly basis and still with his struggles at the free throw line, constantly going one on one which as you saw in this years playoffs drained him considerable and still with in passive one on one defense he still has yet to prove he can shut down the opposite teams best player. Even with Shaq he will have help in the middle, Shaq will draw 2-3 defenders at times, but he's just strong now. His quickness is nrealy gone, he's ups are not like they use to be and he still struggles at the line. Shaq is a big distraction basically if he stays healthy. Cavs wil still have no answer for Gasol or Lamar. I believe firmly that Kobe from start to finish is still the best player in the league and with him finally becoming a good leader Kobe will only get better for the next 2-3 years.
