I'd like to take my chances with Sage.  I think he can do pretty much everything Brett can do now that Brett is old and his skills are diminished.  With Favre we know where he's at skill wise.  Sage can still get better.  I'm not saying Sage is a great QB but you never know until you get the chance... just ask Tom Brady or Kurt Warner.

I'm a born and raised Vikings fan, hence the Favre hatred.  I don't care if Favre plays... I just don't want him here;)

One more thing, all this Favre will lead the Vikings to the playoffs BS needs to stop.  The Vikings were there with Gus Ferotte/T-Jack running things.  The only thing Favre can lead them to(and get credit for) is the Superbowl.

Now you will have to excuse my while I try to work my way through this crowd of bandwagoners that just arrived at the Metrodome.

The point is..Favre can't play much anymore...or did I miss the NY Jets Super Bowl run last year?
All he's good for is tearful news conferences and over rated expectations.
But hey, if he wants to play and the Vikes want him..go ahead by all means..8-8 beckons

Brett should have walked away after 2007, would have gone out on a great season. It is a major case of sour grapes. He needs to let it go. The Vikings should give Rosenfels a shot at starting, if given the chance, I think he can be a legitimate QB, especially with the personnel around him. And Favre... just enjoy retirement and the Hall of Fame induction. If you want to make more money, do some commercials.

He has retired twice.  That should be enough.  He is not interested in helping any body,  He is an ego maniac that should stay in Mississippi.  So tired of the news coverage of the man's ego.

Why is he even trying to return after all this dog fight, eh, sorry that's the other one. Is it just me, or is it starting to feel good to beat these dead horses. (not literally, so PETA members calm down). I say let Brett play. Chris Simms is working...

With 2 mins to go and I need a score to win a big game I want Favre back there.  He knows how to do it.  Plus, you KNOW that if you could still play you would want to.   I sure would.

Only guys who REALLY hate Favre could ACTUALLY go with either of the other two over him. He's got like damn near EVERY record for an NFL Quarterback and he can OBVIOUSLY still play or there wouldn't be ANY damn talk about it at all. For cryin out loud even if I hated the guy I would still want him over the other two so my team has a better chance at succeeding. Everyone chooses to forget about what he did BEFORE last season. Come on.

At this point, he is just a drama queen. Whether he can play or not, I am sick of his "Poor me" act, and sick of the media playing into his drama.

in my opinion the longer he plays the more he hurts his legacy a lil.

Brett Favre is a hall of  fame quarter back.  I have enjoyed watching him play, and have been lucky enough to have him playing on my favorite team.  What I have noticed about Brett, that many iconic stars fall in to is that he has become a cancer.  Football is a team sport.  Any time you have a guy who makes a mistake, and doesn't want to take a lap like the rest of the team you have a problem.  He is a crafty quarter back who has pants that don't fit.  Big fantastic Mike Holmgren had Favre under wraps.  You need a guy to hold him down and shake him to get him to not play too much.  There are situations in football where you need to play it a little safe, and not go out and try and do too much.  Regardless of the situation Favre takes chances.  I hate the Vikings, but if they could get Favre to come in and not try and over play they would be amazing on offense because of how good of a running game they have.  Their defense is going to be suspect this year though.  I'm not convinced that they are a super bowl defense at all.  It really hinders on how good their defensive line will be again, and what is going to happen at safety.  Their corners are so, so, and their whole defense only looks good because of the play at the defensive line has been so impressive.  If their two big tackles get that four game suspension, and the line can't play up to what it did last year they are not going anywhere.  Plus they have to get past the Bears, and the Packers.  The NFC North is not so cut, and dry that you ad Favre to the Vikings, and they get a super bowl ring.  Watch out for the cancer!  Plus can Favre really play an entire season?  If he threw the ball twenty times a game, and didn't overplay it could be possible.  The Vikings belong to Adrian Peterson, but if they can't balance their offense he won't be lasting all that long. Go Pack go!
