Milwaukee Mile should we keep it?
Read the Article: Milwaukee Mile track faces uncertain future in sport

In this post from Nascar.com they state that the Milwaukee Mile is $1.9 Million behind in payments to Nascar and that it also owes money to the IRL. They are up to date with paying the purses from the races but not to the people bringing the races to them.

Now with nascar seaming to be going to new tracks just to close down the legends of the past it is getting hard to see the history in the sport anymore. IMHO

So do you think they should close down the Mile?

Also what tracks would you like to see reopened or closed

There are two tracks I'd love to see brought back. Rockingham for sure, there's a lot of Nascar history at the Rock. They need to quit taking all the roots of the old school away from Nascar, that's what made it what it is today.  Kentucky is another one. I don't think Nascar has any clue of the size of the fan base Kentucky would pull in.  Pocono is another track that really doesn't need two races. The fans are a big part of the money any race brings in.

I would like to see North Wilkeboro track open again and maybe Rockingham.  I really don't have a  thought on the Milwaukee Mile.  If the fan base is not there, maybe it should close.

I couldn't agree with you more. That's exactly what they need. Give them one of the Fontana races, they don't need two.

i think if they dropped a couple like one richmond , one fontana , and diffinetly go back to THE ROCK and North Wilkeboro , or even like pj said , a kentucky race , that would just make it way better , nascar claims they are trying to make it better for the fans , I think they have done more harm than good in alot of ways...................

I'd like to see at least one Martinsville race taken away (though both would work for me too), one Pocono, and maybe one Richmond or Fontana.  Bring back a race at the Rock, give Las Vegas another race, but for me first... give Kansas a second date.  Not one track can be better for the fans than Kansas as it's about as central as you can get for any fan in any area of the country and it's also a wonderful facility, unlike some of the older tracks I've been to that need updated not just for looks, but also for fan safety and health.

Pocono and Fontana come to mind when I think of undeserving tracks.   Richmond deserves their 2 races - rarely is a race there ever boring.  Bring back the Rock, and add Laguna Seca to the Chase - THAT would be cool!

if they dropped the Milwaukee Mile, it would be just like North Wilkesboro speedway....A DISASTER! Keep it going!
