After 28 years of AAA ball with the Columbus Clippers the Yankees have decided to move their AAA system to the Wilkes-Barre Yankees of Pennsylvania. What do you think of the move?

While I think it was a dirty move by the Yanks organization to just abandon Columbus after 28 years, it moves the AAA games much closer to me, so maybe I will be able to attend a few. I can only watch the 1 player from Trenton that will actually make the roster so many times.

What you said :)

Also, having the AAA affiliate closer to NY makes it easier to shuttle players back and forth from the minors when needed. They don't have to fly, they can get on a bus or drive.

probably because Ohio is the home of the Cleveland Indians! Back when they were a decent team they were a big rival of the Yanks, so most people prob avoided the Clippers altogether.

Makes no difference. The Yankees do not need any minor league teams. They simply buy any player they want.

You haven't been around much. Get used to Dugout. He really hates the Yankees. Think Ron Guidry snubbed him on an autograph request when he was a kid.

If you don't care then why answer? Why waste your time and everyone elses time? I can deal without the one answer on my record.

It makes logistical sense.  WBS is definitely closer than Columbus, and it's not like Columbus lost their affiliation and had to fold (which happens a bit in minor league hockey).
