Sample This!!
 RALEIGH, N.C. -

A proposed state law would allow beer makers to offer tastings in grocery stores. What do you think?

And let's see if we can do some more intelligent responses besides "Hell Yeah".  If you think it's a good idea, back it up.  I'm pretty sure we know the reasons why not, but if you are against it, you can still publish them.

I'd love to try different beers, but have been burned enough times by a fancy label.  Wouldn't mind being able to sample more wines as well.

Oh, and Hell Yeah!!

My initial thought is no, but i maybe if two adults are present, one of them could have a sample.  I guess this scares me more because of the backwards state i live in.

I don't see why not.  It gives the company a way to promote it's product and a little old lady work.  It should be limited to one sample per person of legal drinking age!

Looks like Mrs Mooser is going to have a grocery shopping partner.

Well I do not drink beer and I only drink a margarita once in awhile I guess if it is what people want then they will approve it if not they want But with all the people who have been  killed by Drunk Drivers then I would have to say no and I think Mothers against Drunk Drivers will fight hard against this.Sounds like a bad idea to me but that is just me to people who who like to drink will probably really love it and I don't blame them if they do I just think there are better things you could taste that would not affect you abilities they could do.

Ive done Food demos before and you can have control over the portions . I think its a great way to promte your product and give the consumer a chance to really taste something they may actually like..  Its just a tasting, not a beer festival.. LOL Im all for it!

First of all, I'm fine with the idea but am surprised we need a law for this.  I feel that the great state of North Carolina must be in great shape that the local politicians don't have more important issues to work on.

I've been here 7 years, and I don't think the politicians haven't gotten anything right.  There is even Powerball now, which I approve of, but not the way they did it.

The way things are going with prices going up and up, I think it's great to be able to sample something before I buy it.

This is the reason why I keep several changes of clothes/baseball caps/sunglasses in my car.

I was going to make a statement very similar to Anthony's.  He just beat me to the punch.

Hell Yeah!

There's no reason they shouldn't, every product sold in the store should be allowed to be sampled. They have wine sampling in some common public places also

Why not, there are wine sampling and beer sampling shows everywhere, trying to promote certain type of liquor and beer...as long it is controlled by the store (i.e. id check, number of samples, etc.)... go for it, North Carolina!!

I say, that would be a quite charming offer indeed!  Slide a few tasties down at the local ALBERTSON's would be an invigorating day-trip, not to mention picking up a few goodies for the evening...Jolly good call!!

How's THAT for intelligent sounding!

Being a born and bred  NC tarheel, i say they have a right to advertize the same as food products.  I just know though  the religious right will object.  I wonder if this is their way of increasing jobs in NC as that is our bigest problem right now.
