Two years ago the Lakers played the Celtics in the finals and the Celtics won.  A healthy Celtics team has the best shot of dethroning the Lakers but I don't think they will, the Lakers will win their second consecutive title.

A healthy Celtics team will be very hard to beat this year.  They are a better team this year then last year...... although a little bit older... I think their experience will make them tough to beat!

Who says its going to be the Lakers? Ron Artest is going to implode that team's chemistry! Nuggets vs Celtics in the Finals

I'm going to first give my political answer: I think the Atlanta Hawks can de-throne my lakers! Go Hawks!
My heart has to say: The Lakers will not be de-throned this year dear!
My if they must be de-throned answer: The Celtics or a shocking...Suns...no wait....Hornets....wait ...Jazz. I don't  know. LAKERS WIN AGAIN,  ANYWAY

hmm Boston has da best chance if they stay healthy. They have rasheed wallace now 2 compliment KG. If shaq was da Sahq of 2001 i wouldve said Cleveland but i think If da Magic stays healthy they will once again eliminate Cleveland should they play

I'm thinking that if the Celtics were healthy last year we would be talking about whether the Celtics could do a three-pete.... that being said, if they can stay healthy, the Celtics are the ones that can dethrone the Lakers.....

I think boston is the early team to beat from the east.. I dont get much west coast games from were i live in indiana. The west was a lot of very good teams who will compete for the west way to soon to tell who will be from the west 4 real close teams that mirror each other.. the east  orlando ,cleveland will finish 5 games back from boston in the end of the season...I am going out on a limb lol

If I had to pick a team, it has to be the Celtics. A healthy Celtics team could do it this year only. Age will catch up to them after that and the younger Laker team will prevail.

a healthy Celtics team?..half the team is eligible for Social Security !

Other: Injuries

The Lakers are absolutely stacked and are coming off of a Championship season.  If Bynum & Gasol can stay healthy (Big IF) then the should repeat, otherwise, it will be tough.  However, the East's top teams have made several risky but decent moves to try and push themselves over the top.

I would have said Boston but they are going to brake down again before the playoffs. Cleveland is destined for a shot at the Fakers.

If Melo keeps playing like he has, Denver will take the Lakers out. Plus Denver will only get deeper when JR comes back from his suspension.

Exactly my thoughts...I like the addition of Wallace...provided he can keep his cool come crunch time. He can be as much of a handicap as a help. I also think LA with Artest can now become a much better defensive team. I think Bynum will be the difference maker if he finally grows into his size.
