The Vikings - they already had a great Defense and fantastic running game.

Now they have a QB that can win a game for them on a 4th quarter drive.

I chose the Dolts but I was torn....... the Vikings have a great team and are equally as dangerous on the ground as in the air..... the Colts have two great backs.... I suppose it will come down to which team stays healthy....

The Saints played better teams than the Colts have and have had bigger margins of victory.

As much as I hate to say it...I had to go with the Giants. Their receivers are KILLING it right now, Eli is on target. They beat a pretty good Dallas team and you know their "2 Minute Drill" offense is good. They have 2 good backs if they stay healthy. Their secondary is coming along. Good TE (even tho i really dont like Boss...at all). The Vikes should not be undefeated (San Francisco). Denver should not be undefeated(Cincy...which should be in their place). I still think the Colts are too one dimensional(even tho that one dimension will kill you everytime...Same goes for the Saints(unless they run Pierre Thomas more).

Thanks for the support of the poll guys. I'm new here so bare with me, learning how to mess with the site.

The Saints beat up my Eagles so I have to go with them.

I had to go with the Colts over the Vikes, but I am ashamed of myself.

I probably look like a homer for voting the Vikes as the best team, but I really do think they are. Mainly because nobody can really run on their D, evidenced by the previous three years even though it's not ranked as high right now and they have improved a lot against the pass. As for the offense, they have the most dangerous running back in the league with a back up who could start for a lot of teams. Plus Favre leading the air attack.

I believe the Saints are the most improved team from last year....

no way... yes they have a good defense and a great running game, but the receivers are average at best and Farve will still make mistakes...

lol that dosent mean anything, the Colts only do what they need to in order to win, while the Sints like to run up the score, your crazy if you think the Saints are anywhere near as good as the Colts. lets not forget A. Gonzalaz and B. sanders will return soon, were not even at full strength yet lol

Why are the Saints getting a lot of votes? We don't know if they're defense is for real. And they get a banged-up Giants team next week.
#17 | 1788 days ago

Homer likes the G-Men.  But really, they all make a great case.  I picked Indy to go the furthest w/o a loss in another poll here.  I wouldn't be surprised if the Saints beat us next week.  But I think we'll still have a better team in the end as we hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
Giants
#18 | 1788 days ago

I honestly think that the Vikings are a good 4-0 team. If they keep up the way they are playing with Brett Farve throwing the way he is and Adrian Peterson dominating on the offensive line, then the Vikings have the best 4-0 start right now. Minnesota faces Baltimore in Week 6 but I think the Vikings are going to go all the way to the Super Bowl with the way that Brett Farve is playing right now. He has started in over 250 games and he is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL right now. Brett Farve needs to keep playing the way he is playing and the Vikings are sure to go all the way. The Vikings have a great football team and I think they can go far.

I can't pick just one.  As a Saints fan, I think the Saints are the best.  High powered offense, ball hawking defense, good special teams.  This is the first time in ages that both the offense and defense are rated Top Ten in the league.  If I weren't a Saints fan, I'd go with the Vikings.  A great defense setting up Favre and Peterson, come on!  It's going to be a long day when you give those two a short field, and the Vikes d will give them plenty of those.  The Colts are close, but sometimes their defense gets gashed in the running game.

The Saints have played the Lions and the Bills, which are not quality opponents and only one team that went to the playoffs last year, as a wildcard... The Colts have played two of last years playoff teams... If you are looking for margins of victory, then why not compare it with yards instead of points, just like how they identify the top offenses and defenses in the league... The Colts are averaging more than 2.7 yards more than their opponents per play, which is highest in the league... Then just look at Manning stats compared to his career:

There is no other team better than the Colts...Manning is on fire...3 fantastic receivers, running game is averaging over 5 yards
per game. Freeny is healthy..sacking quarterbacks, Sanders will be back soon. Tennessee hasnt won a game all year
watch Sunday Night my friends and you will see a  5 and 0 team rack up the points. My prediction and I was only off 3 points
last week is 45 to 10  and Minnesota...with the old man he wont last believe me, he wont last, he should have stayed retired.
Thanks for the stats Roger. These other fans are betting with their hearts and its obvious they have not seen the Colts play.
Maybe its on to late for them at 8:20 PRIME TIME SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.

Stats this early in the season mean little.  Players are healthy, weather is better, etc.  Let's see those bodies wear down and then we can tell how good a year everyone is having.  Minnesota is the most well rounded team with 6 (not 4) defensive linemen that scare people.  Their defense will get better as the year goes on and the Vikes will prevail.

The Broncos are playing great defense and they are led by Elvis Dumervil and Champ Bailey.  In terms of the offense, Brandon Marshall is one of the best wide receivers in the game.  With their home field advantage, they will be tough to beat.

Saints and Colts right now. LMAO @ the Broncos...they have beaten Cincy on a fluke hail mary, a winless Browns team, a horrendous Raiders team, and then over-rated .500 Dallas. They are certainly the worst 4-0 team.

Something about the broncos....Kyle Orton hasn't thrown a pick all year.....that's not like him....I have a feeling Kyle Orton just needed some recievers to break through....something about them makes me think they are for real...

Denver has the best defense (only 26 points allowed this season and the only team with under 50 allowed), but New Orleans has the most net points (+78, only team besides Denver with 50 or more)

The Saints have the best offense and a decent defense. they're #1 right now
#39 | 1787 days ago

Loooooong way to go.  It's gonna be a great year!
Giants
#40 | 1787 days ago

Right now I have to go with the Colts, though it's a tough call.  The Vikings look really good overall, but seeing a team stop the running game they have makes me wonder about the offensive line and if Favre can keep them in it all season.  The Giants look good too, but with Eli injured how will the season play out now.  That puts both of them up there with the Colts, but I have to give it to the Colts missing key players and still winning games giving them room to get better as the season continues.  Plus the defense is showing to be better than in other years, so the team is becoming more well rounded.

I'd put the Saints with those three, but have yet to see something to make me believe they're really that good.  The Lions are better than last year, but still a low team... Eagles are decent, but the Saints played an injured Eagles... Bills are another low team... Jets are decent and I would have given the Saints the credit after beating the Jets if it wasn't for the Jets holding down that so called "amazing offense" in that game.  Until I see them really shine in a true test (like againest the Giants) I'm not ready to say they really are all that this year.

That leaves the Broncos who I'm thinking have gotten this far more on luck than skill while playing lower teams.  I see their streak ending againest New England.

we picked the giants because they seem too have it all together again this year and if all the key players stay healthy they will make a good run for the super bowl

I love the Saints and wanted to choose them. But I will wait until after they play the Giants in a few days. The one concern for me about the Saints is they seem to giving up a lot of points on defense.
