First friend
I just got through saying good morning to Shaconage like I do every morning. He was my first friend here and that got me wondering. Do you remember who your first friend was and are they still in your top ten. If this poll has already been done I'm sorry.

Other than Scott and Jess by default, I think Woody might have been my first added person to my friend list.

This was nearly 2 years ago, so I don't remember clearly.


edit: I remember it was RenegadeLG,and it didn't take me long to realize what a jerk he was. Most people here won't know who he is because he was banned for good over a year ago.

 My first friend here was one from a Mobsters app I used to play on. Shes never on here since I joined, yet she is on my top10 (that I dont look at) and we still talk. Nick (Jubanator) and Jess were the first to become frinds and talk to me. My first shoutout was from sexy gal that for some reason likes Nastycarr driver Jr.
I have no friends here I'm friendless.

 My first was Sherry baby-  I remember it like yesterday!!!! She made me feel at home from the first day still to today!  It's like your first bike ride to your first kiss you never forget!! She is a very generous person with a warm heart as big as FAN IQ and very unique! Her output has never changed she's a natural!!!!! I even gave her a new name (AMAZING SHERRY) So sherry keep shining like the sun GOD has plans for you as his helper your doing his work my friend to the end!!!!!

 Well Ty, Jess, and the guy who "recruited" me were my first "friends", but I think my first friend on the site was Angie (crackersEXwife).  I think she pops on once a month, and she is still in my top 10, and will be until one of our accounts is deleted.  Other friends from my early days are TerikaHarifa and Christisunshine, and of course I've made many more.

 Well, I'll be!!,  a poll with my name in it? Yes cubsgirl was my first friend on the Q, and how appropriate being a diehard Cubs fan. It seems I don't spend much time in the Locker Room, so I miss quite a bit of polls here as well as Locker Room friendship. I feel I really do spend too much time here on the Q (my wife lets me know that all the time, actually calls me out for being in love with my laptop which she has named Gloria) though I let her look in now and then so that she knows it is a 'sport' site and not a 'porn' site.
 
If i don't here from cubsgirl at least once a day, I wonder what is up. Is she on a trip?, is she well?, or just at work? Or is she possibly upset with something I may have commented on? But now being on the Q for over a half year, I have realized that even though we are different in some ways, nothing will come between our friendship of being the first on the Q to realize we were dedicated loyal Chicago Cubs fans. If you can be loyal to a team that has not brought home a Championship in 100+ years, you can work through other minor disagreements.

Hopefully next year at this time, we will remember back to this poll, watching the Cubs become victorious in the playoff season. Cubs will win big in 2010! Hope forever springs eternal.

Not sure exactly who was the next friend I made in here, but I know I have met and continue to meet some really great people in here. They know who they are and they are all special to me in their own little way... ...

Maybe she was not my first friend but was and is and will be the moderator that helped me a lot and was patient and kind toward my botherings.I appreciate sooooooooo much carrie.

My first friends on FanIQ were Jess, the community manager, and Rheda from Nebraska, who is a big Bears fan.  From there, Cherrie from Trenton has been incredible, as it is nice to have a Serena Williams fan.  Sherry from Georgia always provides great feedback on my articles.  ShelaLyn with her style.  Donna from Texas.  RedBerry Destin is a huge Steelers and has a huge enthusiasm for football.  Susan from the Bay Area is unbelievable.  I will mention more names soon.  There's Rhonda and Lori from Florida, as well.

My first friend besides the mods who were assigned to me was Wordsmith.

As a Browns fan, I never thought I would like a single Steelers fan my whole life. But that guy is funny. And smart. And he made me feel welcome, even while bashing my Browns. He's right, my Browns $uck now. But one of these days..........

I have made so many friends who are die-hard fans of other teams... and I guess I didn't realize how many other teams have fans as dedicated to their team as I find the majority of Steelers fans are. ((You all know who you are!!)) My closest friends on here are not ALL Steelers fans... they are loyal to the Patriots, (god help them!) Cowboys, Vikings, Bears, Raiders, and (dare I say it??) Bengals!! Not without the usual smack-talk and harrassing each other, of course. But like you, I could never have imagined being friends with a single fan of a divisional rival... ((Bengals?!? really??? Who woulda thought!!))

 my first friend was Mr B i do not here from him much anymore i recently changed my top 10 so no he is not there anymore.but i want to say that the mods that helped me in the Begin are the best Jess,Scott& Susanvette they have been great help and so has seal warrior.this is a great site i am so glad my boyfriend sent me here even though he is not here much i send a special thanks to him

Yeah...me too Kramer...almost 2 years ago...guy from Chicago who wrote a LOT of NFL questions....that's all I used to answer in those days....depleted the library of NFL questions...I actually stopped logging in because there were not enough NFL questions...came back and AGAIN answered all NFL trivia questions...moved to baseball....and locker room trivia....just found polls and pick em in the last few weeks...but many friends have come and gone...

 I think it was OneBadDad who recruited me, or it might have been another dude who isn't here any more.  Jess, Scott and Ty were my first friends, followed quickly by CrackersEXwife, and a host of others, including a gamut of wonderful NASCAR buddies, most of whom Rheda mentioned above. 

If it wasn't for Scott, I wouldn't have stayed though.  The site wouldn't load for me properly back then, cuz I was on dialup, but Scott gave me some hints and some guidance, and within a couple of hours it worked, and within a day I was hooked.  And now if I'm not on the Q for more than 12 hours, I'm sure I experience physical withdrawal symptoms!!!

 Yes my first best friend here at Q is Alan JHawker, Nader, Jess, Scott, Karri, Sandy, Mudhar Ravinder, ShahJoe, Margarita,and many more  since then they have multiplied. Up to now we are still the best of friends and everytime I have problem here at Q I contact Jess for sure.  I can still remember everytime my account here can not open I ask my friend  Jones now Raj1968 to help me contact Jess since we became good friends.

  The first person i really started talking to is American Sherrybaby.She is sweet,kind intelligent and a Dear friend....hosslover is the same...quite the Lady as well-and she is a Steelers fan!!Steelers fans are as fanatical to their team as i am to my Raiders!!!
     I was at the Raiders at Texans game last sunday and the game was over by halftime-I was in a FOG and i don;t smoke dope...teh raider fans that left early-not many around me-were catching hell for leaving early...i ended up talking about the good old days of the raiders with a raider nation fan living in denver(at the game)..After the game there were Raider fans and myself-yelling RAIDDEERRSSSSSSSSSS......It was one of the WORST Raiders losses i have seen first hand....it was a long walk to catch the train-i was really bummed,and it was windy/rainy....

 Every time I participate in a poll I find new people I'd like to have as friends. I love the regulars that are always there and really enjoy their comments. I consider everyone here a friend even if we don't agree on the political polls. I guess the first friend was customercare31. He pissed me off sending me all those challenges and I fired back several times asking him to stop. Finally I was being a little smart ass sending him repetitive notes back every time he sent me a challenge and while I was in the middle of sending one he popped up and asked why I didn't like it. Such a simple question and there began a friendship. Andilee and nascarguru  are two more great friends and Mooser! Who can leave mooser out. I love Norseheathen and Rileyjames and, and.....well you get the picture right?

Green Eyes brought me here, and then ErlDarehardt who I knew from another site,was my first friend. Then along came, Jess, Scott, Jr Canuck Fan, Seal, and Mooser, and took me under their proverbial wings.

Since then, I have made so many incredible friends, and I would be scared of leaving someone out, if I tried to name them. You guys that matter know who you are, men and women alike!

I do need to give a serious shout out to some awesome people I have gotten to know better recently: LJHeath, AmericanSherryBaby, CaliKat, KCPartygirl, Wordsmith,ZZj000.....

And another special shout to all that I hope to get to know.

Ok I am done being all warm and fuzzy now..LOL

 First friends on here were Ty, Jess and seanrrpsnm (who recruited me).  Soon followed by Scott, EdSpeschel (gone but not forgotten), Kramer and Pat.  Most are in my top 10...but all are still close friends who I wouldn't trade for anything.  Followed up by so many wonderful people on here, I can't name them all!!  I think I need a top 25 (at least) instead of a top 10!
If not for Scott and Jason(EdSpeschel) though, I probably would have been gone soon after joining...they welcomed me in, took me underwing and got me hooked faster than anything.  I love all my friends here on the Q!!

 There are two people that I met on here when I first joined that made me want to stick around and that was Jason(EdSpeschel) and Gina(JRSFLAME88). Jason was the first Vikings fan I talked too and Gina always made me laugh with her obsession with JR.

 When I came on board, I made several friends right off the bat and they are all still in my top 10 with the exception of two people who are no longer around....  these days I enjoy bantering with Janet, Riley and Becky although I'm not sure they would consider me a friend  but I like them all a lot..... 18packabs is a good bud and LJ Heath and JulieMarie always bring a smile to my face!

I can't wait to continue making friends here, there are so many great people here....

when i first saw this thread, I almost skipped it because my first friend does not make for a very good story..  but I decided to read it even though I did not have much hope of seeing me mentioned since there were always people back then who would add people within minutes of their first post.  Then I saw this evolve into a list of people who have become real friends and touched their lives and so I read the posts in hopes of seeing who/if I had touched anyone enough to be mentioned.

As it turns out, I got to the end and found not only silence but that I didn't even recognize most of the people.  Probably explains why not many remember me either. :)

Been a reduced presence for less than a year after a couple years of "hours a day" daily interaction and I went from a fixture to less than a memory.  Got to love the quick evolution of online.  :)

Oh, and to answer the original question.  It was some guy from a fantasy league who didn't seem to stick around long after sending me an invite to join a few years ago.   No, he is not in my top 10.   As for real friends--  I made and lost several in the early times.   I eventually made some who came to mean something to me.

lol..  I would end this with a joke to make everyone laugh but nothing is coming to me at the moment--  so back to some simulation software to learn some new things.
