Your biggest mistake (Edited 10/21/09 08:27PM by b213sep)
We all know that to make mistakes is human nature.
Almost everyday we make some kind of mistakes and there is nothing wrong with it because we learn from our mistakes. Sometimes these mistakes make us feel sorry and sometimes they leave us just blushing.
My question is: What was the biggest mistake or wrong decision you took in your life which troubled you for quite sometime??
Relax and think for sometime before answeringYour biggest mistake (Edited 10/21/09 08:27PM by b213sep) Photo

It was recently, when I lost the job I held for 9+ years! There was a loud voice in my head right from my childhood saying "What did you do???". Would it have been different if I had listened to those around me, if the circumstances were different and if I worked with different people? Looking back now it is very different, maybe I wasn't in the wrong and maybe I wasn't the bad guy. Oh well doesn't matter now! That was the past and I have since righted that wrong, life is much better and I'm a MUCH better person now! A biggest mistake that I have learned from that's what matters!!

i've always tried to weight the pros and cons of any decision. I make alot of mistakes typing and i used to be a good typist. With age has come the fact that my mind works faster than my fingers and i have been known to leave out complete words. lol Another mistake i make is not choosing the right things to eat. I just go with my cravings.

Please do tell us as to at what age did you get married, adults getting married is alright, but getting kids too early is an issue, as they need more care and for their well being, parents have to be more responsible., stable steady income for their healthcare, education and lots of quality time is what kids need along with love and affection.

There have been a lot of mistakes. Here's one. I once tried to introduce my wife in Japanese. "watashi no tsuma desu." tsumi=wife. Instead it came out "watashi no tsumi desu." tsumi=sin.

When i was a freshman in college i was taking the train home. Then i talked to this girl in the train that I used to know when i was a kid. So we got to talking and i offered her a ride home. The thing i regret is that i didn't ask her out...kinda wish I did. And I haven't seen her since. God only knows what today would be like if she said yes. Geez i'm such a chicken-sh*t.

going to ohio in 1979 for Thanksgiving with a friend from my platoon, met a redhead and fell in lust.told her i was going to germany in the early part of january and went back to ohio instead of staying my young ass in louisana where i should have, well went back the 29of december and the 23 of january we got married and then left for germany three days after that, lord that was the biggest mistake of my life. she got to germany in may and by febuary the next year she was on her way to ohio again.caught her in a liplock with a good (i thought) friend of mine. hooked up with her and brought her to ft.riley ks and 9 months later we had a son and a year after that she went back to ohio and sent me papers of divorce.....i got out of the army to try and sae our marriage and three days after i got back to ohio she told me to get out that she didnt want nothing to do with me!!!! 23 years after that mistake iam still paying for that mistake because now the son from that marriage wont have anything to do with me and now has a 3 year old girl,i have seen her once......life goes on so ikeep my head up and continue on........what a MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got married at a very young age. We grew apart or in different directions for 4+ years. It ended amicably, but could have been avoided.

Meeting my ex-husband is a good start.

There after letting the wrong people get close to me, being taken advantage of (being too nice).

I am a good person all around, and I am willing to give them the benefit of all doubt until they do something that
is over the line.

But then I feel bad for letting such people hurt me like that. AGAIN! (I guess I need to be tougher on myself and who I am around, make them see that they should be glad to know me.)

Definitely my biggest mistake was when I was merely 21 years old, I quit my job so I could spend more time with my fianceé who was going to school two hours away. I dropped out of all but one of my own college classes, and I ended up getting the only D of my life in that class. I lost my financial aid for dropping too many courses. I ran up my mom's credit cards because I had no job. I alienated my friends, who had tried to tell me how stupid I was acting. As a result of all this, when all was said and done, I had no car, no regular income, no friends to speak of, a great deal of debt, and took a year and a half longer to finish college than I should have. In some ways I've never completely recovered from that decision. My only salvation is one day I finally looked in the mirror, didn't like the person I saw, and found the strength to break up with her before I married the crazy b**** (and that's putting it kindly). Not that I'm bitter or anything. I eventually found someone who loved me for who I am and doesn't try to use me, and I'm a fairly happy person today.

I would like to think that the mistake I made, has made me the person I am today. So mainly the mistakes you do not learn from are the worst and I always find were I went wrong and go forward. Looking back on mistakes prevents you from thinking about the decisions you are making today. If you are always looking back instead of forward then you will make them same mistakes again.

DUI-April 27, 2007 Hands down drinking and driving is the stupidest thing I have ever done. I wish I could say that's the only night I ever did it. But I can't, I have learned my lesson and no longer drink and drive. I got really lucky that I never killed myself or more importantly never killed anyone else.

I'd just agree upon the fact that this was really a big mistake... you should have tried to patch up the things later...I dunno why you didn't try to do that sorry for you lol

I lost my job of 7 years in 2006... and always wondered, what if I had done things differently... worked harder, put in more hours, etc? But that was a learning experience, and also a path to a less stressful way of life for me in some respects. I think all the mistakes I made over those years have molded my life and helped me be more creative with new opportunities.

This answer reflects intellect of two, possibly three intellects.! Any way mind will be with pyramid of faniq in physical part of it, then will share the experience. Faniq is a virtual pyramid of positive energy.

Being born is not your mistake, that was not a mistake at all, but forgetting why we are born is the mistake we all commit all the while, for soul of all living beings is born again with new forms of the body, the cycle of birth and death is continuing one, till the intellect listens to the wisdom, from within, sees, hears and understands the truth, the cycle of birth and death is inevitable.
Soul can not be burnt by any fire, no arm can shred it, body and mind can be hurt, burnt, mind is only small part of the soul, being used to live the life.
Interpretors of script always put us on doses of myths, like the body goes to heaven or hell, truth is there for us to see it, the body gets into primal form, dust to dust, ashes to ashes., it is the mind that lingers on, in the form of thoughts, longing to join the soul, pure form of super soul, the almighty, all powerful, omni present. Many messiahs have told us this simple truth, but we fall prey to the preachers of faith, who have power on sections of humanity.

Do you believe that we choose where we want to be born and to which family and parents?

We can pray for a good birth in good family, we can try to be good in the family that we are born in, we can positively change the destiny with our efforts, using our intellect for good use.But choosing the parents is not in our hands as it is pre-determined by us in our previous life by us by our own actions and reactions !

A very stupid move and several stupid sentences earned myself a General Discharge for the Marine Corps. Was lucky not get a punitive. But what was worst about it, is that it happened 10 days before 9/11. I can't, nor do I deserve to, live that down.

I dropped out of College (Temple U...go Owls!). I thought I wasn't being taught anything. I was used to having my hand held in High School, and could not grasp the concept of independent study. Not being degreed is my greatest regret.

Mistakes.....I wish I could say there was one, but I have 3 huge ones. I learned from them and because of them, I am a better person today. There are two that still haunt me today, but gradually that will go away. One caused a lot of emotional and physical pain because of abuse, and the other is very recent and I'm trying to find my thru the hurt because I let someone get inside my wall. The final result will be that I will once again see the person I am.
