America's Vulnerability Kept From The Public

Juval Aviv was the Israeli Agent upon whom the movie ' Munich ' was based. He was Golda Meir's bodyguard -- she appointed him to track down and bring to justice the Palestinian terrorists who took the Israeli athletes hostage and killed them during the Munich Olympic Games.
In a lecture in New York City a few weeks ago, he shared information that EVERY American needs to know -- but that our government has not yet shared with us.
He predicted the London subway bombing on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox News stating publicly that it would happen within a week. At the time, O'Reilly laughed and mocked him saying that in a week he wanted him back on the show. But, unfortunately, within a week the terrorist attack had occurred.
Juval Aviv gave intelligence (via what he had gathered in Israel and the Middle East ) to the Bush Administration about 9/11 a month before it occurred. His report specifically said they would use planes as bombs and target high profile buildings and monuments. CONGRESS HAS SINCE HIRED HIM AS A SECURITY CONSULTANT.

Now for his future predictions. He predicts the next terrorist attack on the U.S. will occur within the next few months.

Forget hijacking airplanes, because he says terrorists will NEVER try and hijack a plane again as they know the people onboard will never go down quietly again. Aviv believes our airport security is a joke -- that we have been reactionary rather than proactive in developing strategies that are truly effective.

For example:

1) Our airport technology is outdated. We look for metal, and the new explosives are made of plastic.
    2) He talked about how some idiot tried to light his shoe on fire. Because of that, now everyone has to take off their shoes. A group of idiots tried to bring aboard liquid explosives. Now we can't bring liquids on board. He says he's waiting for some suicidal maniac to pour liquid explosive on his underwear; at which point, security will have us all traveling naked! Every strategy we have is 'reactionary.'
    3) We only focus on security when people are heading to the gates.

Aviv says that if a terrorist attack targets airports in the future, they will target busy times on the front end of the airport when/where people are checking in. It would be easy for someone to take two suitcases of explosives, walk up to a busy check-in line, ask a person next to them to watch their bags for a minute while they run to the restroom or get a drink, and then detonate the bags BEFORE security even gets involved. In Israel , security checks bags BEFORE people can even ENTER the airport.

Aviv says the next terrorist attack here in America is imminent and will involve suicide bombers and non-suicide bombers in places where large groups of people congregate. (i.e., Disneyland, Las Vegas casinos, big cities (New York, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.) and that it will also include shopping malls, subways in rush hour, train stations, etc., as well as rural America this time (Wyoming, Montana, etc.).
The attack will be characterized by simultaneous detonations around the country (terrorists like big impact), involving at least 5-8 cities, including rural areas.
Aviv says terrorists won't need to use suicide bombers in many of the larger cities, because at places like the MGM Grand in Las Vegas , they can simply valet park a car loaded with explosives and walk away.
Aviv says all of the above is well known in intelligence circles, but that our U. S. government does not want to 'alarm American citizens' with the facts.

The world is quickly going to become 'a different place', and issues like 'global warming' and political correctness will become totally irrelevant.
On an encouraging note, he says that Americans don't have to be concerned about being nuked. Aviv says the terrorists who want to destroy America will not use sophisticated weapons. They like to use suicide as a front-line approach. It's cheap, it's easy, it's effective; and they have an infinite abundance of young militants more than willing to 'meet their destiny'.
He also says the next level of terrorists, over which America should be most concerned, will not be coming from abroad. But will be, instead, 'homegrown' -- having attended and been educated in our own schools and universities right here in the U. S. He says to look for 'students' who frequently travel back and forth to the Middle East . These young terrorists will be most dangerous because they will know our language and will fully understand the habits of Americans; but that we Americans won't know/understand a thing about them.

Aviv says that, as a people, Americans are unaware and uneducated about the terroristic threats we will, inevitably, face. America still has only have a handful of Arabic and Farsi speaking people in our intelligence networks, and Aviv says it is critical that we change that fact SOON.
So, what can America do to protect itself?

From an intelligence perspective, Aviv says the U.S. needs to stop relying on satellites and technology for intelligence. We need to, instead, follow Israel 's, Ireland 's and England 's hands-on examples of human intelligence, both from an infiltration perspective as well as to trust 'aware' citizens to help. We need to engage and educate ourselves as citizens; however, our U. S. government continues to treat us, its citizens, 'like babies'. Our government thinks we 'can't handle the truth' and are concerned that we'll panic if we understand the realities of terrorism. Aviv says this is a deadly mistake.
Aviv recently created/executed a security test for our Congress, by placing an empty briefcase in five well-traveled spots in five major cities. The results? Not one person called 911 or sought a policeman to check it out. In fact, in Chicago , someone tried to steal the briefcase!
In comparison, Aviv says that citizens of Israel are so well 'trained' that an unattended bag or package would be reported in seconds by citizen(s) who know to publicly shout, 'Unattended Bag!' The area would be quickly & calmly cleared by the citizens themselves. But, unfortunately, America hasn't been yet 'hurt enough' by terrorism for their government to fully understand the need to educate its citizens or for the government to understand that it's their citizens who are, inevitably, the best first-line of defense against terrorism.

Aviv also was concerned about the high number of children here in America who were in preschool and kindergarten after 9/11, who were 'lost' without parents being able to pick them up, and about ours schools that had no plan in place to best care for the students until parents could get there. (In New York City , this was days, in some cases!)

He stresses the importance of having a plan, that's agreed upon within your family, to respond to in the event of a terroristic emergency. He urges parents to contact their children's schools and demand that the schools, too, develop plans of actions, as they do in Israel

Does your family know what to do if you can't contact one another by phone? Where would you gather in an emergency? He says we should all have a plan that is easy enough for even our youngest children to remember and follow.
Aviv says that the U. S. government has in force a plan that, in the event of another terrorist attack, will immediately cut-off EVERYONE's ability to use cell phones, blackberries, etc., as this is the preferred communication source used by terrorists and is often the way that their bombs are detonated.

How will you communicate with your loved ones in the event you cannot speak? You need to have a plan.

WOW. This is a scary thing and one that i have not really thought about. But after reading this, man it would be easy as hell to do a lot of damage. It makes me sick when the goverment covers things up when it could be helping peaple to prepare for the worse. The hell with the panicing peaple. They need to learn how to remain calm and look for thses danger signs.  We should be training everyone in America like the peaple of Israel when we see an unattended bag or suit case or whatever and do exactly like they do and clear the area fast. I still think it will be very easy for terrorist to attack us anytime they want to.  Bush was warned by Clinton also to be watching for Bin Laden to pull an attack. Bush went on vacation instead.  Something has got to be done. It will happen again and it will happen soon.

As I read it, I was planning on hitting up Snopes afterward to check it out!    Beat me to it.

I do have to say, though, that a lot of the points in the article ARE true.  Mainly the sections about how unprepared we really are in comparison to some other nations.  Heightening our security, being more proactive in finding anti-terrorism plans, and having each individual/family develop their own personal strategy for dealing with a potential attack are all good ideas.

Many points are true.

But it is shocking that someone posted this, believing in this person. His prediction was made in 2005 - And we can thank George Bush that in the 4 years since his prediction, it has not come true.

I could also name 5 weaknesses right now in our transportation system. That doesn't make me Mossad.

Also, America is ABOUT openness and freedom. In Israel, Mossad listens to EVERY CALL from EVERY CITIZEN. There is no uproar about Illegal wiretapping. Because citizens have no right to privacy in Israel.

Funny, I wonder how many people that are supporting this poll, were supporting the Patriot Act. Dare I say none. Its shocking that no one in America complained that we should repeal the Patriot Act AND the drug laws that allow the government to do the same things if they think you are a drug dealer.

Facts are a funny thing. They don't scream out or jump up and down when they are ignored.

wow, a man that has worked for the isreals, yes i have heard of him and do believe every word that  comes out of his mouth!!!! we are just what he said when sometihing happens we react. the luggage problem is a simple fix those carts that bring the luggage to the planes, well those could be used after the dogs and the bags have been run through a xray scanner.. or a totally different site all togather. And we need to stop saying we are sorry! these are the rules. follow them or you dont board a plane.raise a ruckus you go to jail no questions asked.   you look like a terriost you get talked to papers checked.......we can stick our heads in the  sand and think nothing is goin to happen. This is our country no one else's. if they dont like the rules go back home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good point ... we all are so worried about airport security that we've forgotten that all other forms of public and private transit are far more susceptible to attack!  Trains, buses, taxis/limo services ... none of them have any real security measures in place to prevent possible terrorist attacks.
Granted, a plane getting attacked would likely have far more casualties than a Greyhound bus.  However, if there is a massive attack on several buses at once, the numbers would probably be far more equal.

I see what you're saying, but I think it's worth posting even if it were 100% false.
Anything that opens up discussion about important issues in the world today is a good thing.  At the very least, people can bring up different viewpoints (and even expose the article to be untrue, if it is) and get people thinking and talking about the issue of terrorism.
This poll went from a potential terrorist attack around the corner to the Patriot Act to the weaknesses against terrorist attacks in our transit system.  I think that's great (and that's what I love about the Locker Room polls, in general).

What scares me is that anytime "scares" or events such as terrorism occur, more and more freedoms are taken away from law-abiding citizens--when the focus should be upon safeguards that can be enacted to strangle those who would do this country harm.

Is it tough to get into this country through illegal means--no.  So, one thought I have would be to require proof of citizenry or legality for being in this country at such institutions such as the department of motor vehicles.  If an individual doesn't have a drivers license--or state issued identification (also attained at the Department of Motor Vehicles for those that are either afraid to or do not desire to drive), then services from other institutions and work will be denied to such individuals.  For the consideration of forgery, we have super-computers that can constantly cycle for duplicate numbered documents and those that are issued numbers/codes that are not consistent with those the state have issued.

Yes, it's a pain in the butt.  Some would say it's discriminatory--if it is applied to everyone, it's is not.  However, the level of stupidity being applied to limit such attacks through paranoid regulations is a far greater 'pain' than using institutions that have the ability to be utilized to verify, validate, and identify discrepancies between people who are legally entitled to be within the country and those who are not.  With a task of writing some relatively diagnostics programs, and data input, one such a measure would actually make it easier to identify potential threats.

Just my two copper pieces.

I post information as information is the most valuable tool one can have, what you or anyone else choose to do with that information is your business, but the true fact is that that many things in this post are true it is all a matter of who or what you believe. Since the post does not violate the COC  I see no reason to be 'Shocked that someone posted it" unless you scare easily. You think it is all bogus than don't read it. What you don't know can really hurt you.

First of all I thought your post was funny, (well actually I didn't, I just didn't want to you to think that I gave you the PQ).

Second, so you have a cousin that works for the FBI, and I'm just a nobody; therefore your info. must be right and I'm wrong???? B.S.!

Third, I was merely pointing out that this information appears on snopes.com; and I do trust them when it comes to debunking lies and tall tales circulating on the internet.

Fourth, why get upset.

Another argument from authority, logical fallacy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argument_from_authority

Snopes has its stuff together.  half the stuff on there comes from the FBI, or from someone who knows someone in the FBI, LOL.

the FBI line is complete BS, and if it is true then you would have to wonder why it is being said.  If the information is sensitive and classified then there is no reason why someone who works for the FBI would tell anyone, family or otherwise.  I have my clearance through a different channel than the FBI, the FBI security clearance is one of the toughest clearances to obtain, and the the people who have them are 99/100 time the people who should get them, I do not think i could get one.  I would not even mention the channel of my clearance, nor am i allowed to talk about anything work related.  I highly doubt an employ of the FBI is just walking around sharing information with his/her family memebers, so they can talk about it online in a public forum.

I don't trust any of the governments to work anything out.  With the present regimes in place, I really wonder if they know what is going on.  The FBI, CIA, NCIS, CSI (okay, just had to make a joke there) are not good at communicating and like to think each is better for the country than the other.  That is fact.

What I have noticed on here is no one has talked about their plans in case there is such an attack.  I'm no alarmist, but I have had plans in place since the 80s when my girls were old enough to understand the ramifications.  We have a meeting place in case of a disaster of global proportions, survival guidelines established even without communications.  We know that if one of us doesn't show up within a few months time, that person(s) are probably dead.  We've tried to calculate travel time by foot to our location so our expectations are undisputed.  During a global disaster, it is safe to say that conventional travel methods are out the door. I have always been able to grow food, can, preserve, etc. so I can survive without going to the store. May not always like what there is to eat, but when you're hungry, you will eat it.

Yes I know, I'm a woman, but I was raised by a Daddy who was retired Navy, survived the Great Depression somehow, grew up poor (as did my Mama on a farm) and taught us to be self sufficient.  Between my brother and myself, we could make sure our children and grandchildren have a chance at survival.

Great points..... remember that President Bush was the great satan and that there were many liberals in Congress that wanted to impeach him for the Patriot Act.....

In an open and free Country we naturally leave ourselves open to attacks by people who care not about their target but only care about striking terror into people's hearts and creating fear..... when they do that, they have won....

It is a great thing that we haven't had another terrorist attack on our soil since 9/11 but it's also a bad thing because we Americans have very short memories.......

After 9/11 I was talking with a friend about security flaws and stuff, and they mentioned they would think twice about flying.  I had no idea how soon after I said it, that something would happen, but I mentioned subways and the like scared me even more, because their security is much less pronounced!  I can't remember how long after it, but the subway in London got hit.  Our security is really reactionary, so it only benefits us to talk about it and spread the word.

The "truth" behind the poll and what took place isn't as important as the warning it suggests to each of us.  Good post!
