Let's see........first off...I'd follow Sherry anywhere with a roast/mashed potatoes/cookies combination.  Nothing says "downhome cooking" like a roast!  Since I live on the Gulf coast, I thought I'd bring some of the fruit of the sea with me.  As an appetizer, West Indies salad, followed by 10 pounds of fried crab claws, corn on the cob, Red Snapper fillets grilled with a lemon juice sauce, and topped off with a nice Key Lime pie.  For those of you who don't like crab or fish, plenty of fresh Alabama wild shrimp or steamed oysters.  Bon apetite!

It has always amazed me how other regions of the country could not grasp the concept of sweet tea. You add the sugar while it's hot, it dissolves much better-- simple science folks!

Down here, sweet tea is a staple!  It's unAmerican to go into a restaurant, ask for sweet tea, and you get UNSWEETENED!  Big difference between sweet and sweetened.  And, if anybody's still passing the plates, may I have some bananna pudding and a slide of the Key Lime pie please?
