Why do you enjoy watching sports and games?

Many of us take time out to go for movies, parties, picnics, etc. etc. Everyone has their own reasons for doing so. It may be to enjoy social life, or maybe to have a pass-time with friends for maybe recreation, love, adventure, romance, etc. etc. Some like to be members of sports organizations and clubs and go and play themselves, maybe to keep fit or just to have company or for passion and love for some game or sport, etc.etc. Many of us even find time to go and watch sports and games played by professionals. Here too the reasons are many. Now my intention of this poll is to know first hand from you all as to why you go to watch a particular sport or game; I mean I want to know what is your gain or benefit from watching it - is it pure entertainment or you go to learn the finer points or some other reason you take your time out for.

I love to watch cricket to see and learn how the umpires err and how some of the players cheat, some who are more than honest, some who get upset for small things, some who just keep quiet and have a very sporting nature, how the third umpire judges on the TV replays, etc. etc.

I love to cook and eat while watching sports and other soap operas since I find that it gives more peace to the mind and you get a well deserved rest too.

At my age I still enjoy participating with my favorite games, bowling, volleyball, baseball, marathon, dart, swimming, hurdles, and broad jump. By participating in my sports I keep fit and I get sick without it.

#12 \| 16 days ago Cobragirl (+)	Well - Now in season TWO, I really need to think a lot - firstly on the quantum of respects limitation (2 each fan) and maximum 10 per day. I will have to find time to go for reading now a lot since my respects have become time consuming COSTLY.
