Relations on the Q - Why did you join this site?

This site is mainly for sports entertainment.  But in the months that I have been on this site, I have come across various modes of entertainment that the fans have derived from here in the garb or under the veil of sports.

Many a female fan of the Q write messages to the males and vice versa.  These message sometimes spell love, sometimes mischief, sometimes as if a new relation is on the anvil, sometimes pulling of one towards the other for starting an affair sort of, etc. etc.  Some of the fans are very close to one another, some have a group to get along as a small society, others keep a track of the good looking fans in their age group for stalking perhaps, some others to make friends to invite them on for chat and sometimes even enhance the relationship to very high levels, etc.

What is your personal feeling about the various relations that develop on this site.  If it is not asking for much, could you be frank, without spelling any names, as to what were maybe the intentions in your scheming mind when you called on some particular member or got very close to someone on the Q.  Please do share as it would definitely make interesting reading.

 I too experienced a difference in starting relationships.  I saw a couple of ladies who went through my profile (checked my profile - as the Q words it) and contact me and take more than necessary interest in my whereabouts.  I have not entertained any one so far, but I have a personal feeling that it is not at all difficult to start some new relationship here.

  Thanks to my young friend, Suji, her repeated requests to "at least join" made me to look at the site, yes, all that you have explained does happen, as in life, so in cyber life also, that does not mean we should run away, but exercise more care and concern, be alert  of the possible misuse, as Suji Bella found out later.!
More importantly, this site virtually is the world with all its facets of life, along with sports, all can if interested see all the emotions, all species of animal kingdom, all the good positive energies, from about thirty minutes a day, now I spend about two hours on this site, responding to friends on site, of  course multi tasking at the same time , at times.Love and regards,

 I joined this site to learn the style of writing of others - maybe for sarcasm, critical acclaim, naughty comments, lauds for good write ups, poll language and gist, what all people can think when they answer polls, etc. etc.

Being a teacher, I just wanted to enhance my vocabulary and knowledge in the different arts of presentation of one's thoughts.

 I joined because a friend  kept bugging me to join so he could get the points.  I got into the  trivia of nascar and read  the comments which were very witty and  had me laughing out  loud and stayed for the laughs.

When I was invited, I have no idea what faniq is. Then I love the sports...love it sooooooo much! Then the quizes and the polls....then the messages start coming in...mostly from those who just join and at "O" level......there are some nice messages, there are some invitations - business, friendship and  even marriage......wow....it makes faniq become more exciting....so I guess, what comes out of joining the Q depends solely on us as the individual...any decision made of course is our own, so i dont blame faniq or people with "funny" intention that join it. Its not so much different from the other social sites anyway......

 I joined because someone I wanted I enjoyed talking with sent me an incite when the site we where on went down for an extended period of time. 

And of course people grow relationships of one type or another ... it's human nature. More power to them if they can grow them into healthy relationships or just keep them going as online friends.

This site would be awful boring if only topics dealing with sports were allowed. Had it not been for the terrific friends that I've made here, I would still be sitting back at Level 10, and watching videos and reading blogs.
Every one here knows that we all have this one thing in common: Love for sports. This brings us together from all parts of the world. Relationships will no doubt develop naturally out of common interests.

 Again, I came for the sports and got an invitation to try a poll and found out  they can be highly entertaining.
What bothers me about the personal (hook up) side, it when I am on my private email and get IM 'd .  The Q is the Q- my private email account that I registered here with is PRIVATE.

Pretty much ditto for me. I was invited by someone at another sports site we were both on at the time. It's a great site, even with the gliches.   The realationships are what you allow them to progress to be.  Careful choices have to be made.

 well i joined to socialize and make new friends and try to help keep tabs on my sports but it seam that like others with the pic i put up i feel like it has attracted thoughs that want more than i want and have to decide wether i wanted to leave or just ignore so yes i have experianced a little of all including the stalking !!!! when can people just get the word no  lol

 I came on for the sports, I love football,baseball and hockey. But I have also found some wonderful friends on the Q, I am not looking for a relationship from here but find alot of scammers on this site, I try to be nice about it but some just don't seem to get the message.  I came to FanIQ to indulge in sports trivia and share my knowlege.Also to learn about certains sports that i am not a genius in lol. As for the relationships that go on here.That is the business of the two people in the relationship.Some are actually looking for that someone special.Others are  PREDATORS. They will tell you what you want to hear to get what they can from you.Before you know it.Its to late.Love is blind but on the internet its legally blind. Take heed as the person you are talking to may be embelishing the truth in a big way. People who lie normally get caught up.Problem is they move on, change their name and someone ends up getting hurt.

  Pretty close, but a lot of my friends left and i felt so alone and so i became a mod to meet new friends, and now i get picked on because i am a mod and i have to tell people to stop cursing and don't post naked pics because it's against the code even tho i want to do those things myself but i can't because now i am a goody two shoes and i have all these people following me and i don't know who they are or if they are cute or if they want me for my knowledge or my star or ruggish good looks. 

but it seems like some of the old guard is coming back, so i'll probably take a step or two back from the ledge.

 I joined this site because I got the e-mails challenging me to a quiz, I stayed because of the sports, I became impressed by how intelligently some of the people on the site could write about sports (that's not common), THEN I started hanging out in the Locker Room and it became a whole new world...

If certain members of the site can't help but be attracted to my formidable intelligence, razor-sharp wit, and irresistable charm, well, it's just a burden I must bear.

Well considering the site name is FANIQ...I joined for the sports-smack talking, knowledege, insight, but never expected all of the "other"  things I run across on here.  Between TOTD, DABS and as the top comment stated the repeated polls of the same question over again & again this site does provide some humorous fodder.

Judging from some of the pics and comments I suspect some the folks on here will be on TV someday.  Maybe on COPS, Americas Most Wanted or better yet on the show Cheaters!  LOL

Well here I go again, I joined because of the sports stuff but once you get on here there is more than just sports. Adult interaction is a great thing in many different ways. Just as long as you know who is a married person and who is a Player I think you should be alright. Trust your instincts and be careful. I have made alot of fantastic friends on the "Q"  from all over the world even New Foundland where ever the hell thats at .. sorry Rox just kiddin.  If you want to actual hook up there are plenty sites on the web for that other than here..Except for Cubsgirl and BMCannon..

 that is why i came to the Q! the spiritual debates over things that most people would find crazy.....the first reason was the love of sports,watching or talking about it,and on the Q we can also write about the loves of our life(wives,husband,kids and the sports) we love. oh i forgot our pets also...i have met some friendly members of this site and hope to make long term friendships out of those meetings. didnt come to meet someone just for the love of the sports...................

 I was invited by a friend from my Steelers club, who is never here.Through the course of polls and posts, I met some great folks, and one actually in person so far, which has been wonderful. I will be meeting another very soon, and I'm very excited about it. I came for the sports aspect, but have found the social aspect to be an unexpected but very enjoyable experience as well. I know some people would be adverse to meeting in person, which is understandable, but I also feel life is too short to let a good thing pass you by. By using sound judgement, experience, and some street smarts sprinkled in, it IS possible to make new friends on a site like this.

Thanks to all my Q buddies that help make the site a bright spot in my day.

 I joined because a friend sent it to me in an email as well.  I wasnt sure I wanted to join. I knew nothing about the site.
But I decided to give it a try and see what it was about... I have met some really cool people on here.. I think I stated this in another poll,  I have met people on here I couldnt have done without the use of my passport.  I like football, hockey mostly.

I stayed because the friends I have on here are helpful, if I have a problem, dont understand something or (recently) can not find certain things.  If I talk to some more than others that is cool. I did not come here for a relationship.  This is not a dating site.  Which some people (cant name names) but they need to understand that. 

FanIQ has alot more than I expected on here. I am impressed and find new stuff everyday.

Kudos to Ty (plug for the Owner/Creator).  He founded a site that brings many people from all walks of life to one site where we can talk smack about each others teams (and still laugh later).

I am glad I joined.

Hell I joined this site just to see how smart I am when it comes to sports... oh yeah, a friend of mine suggested it... so far having a blast, and seeing some of the same trivia questions, helps make for more points since I know a lot of the answers, after a while, they get burned in the old brain....  great SPORTS site.. that is what it was meant for.. for all you that are looking for love, well, there is always e harmony.... lol......

 I was sent a link by a friend who likes to send me links to websites. I was bored late one night(my wife works nights), so I clicked on the link and started playing trivia. I like trivia and I like sports, so I hung around. Then one day I discovered that if I filled out a profile, I would get more points, so I did. Then someone sent me fan request and the rest is history.  BTW my friend who sent me the link is pissed at me, because I spend more time on here than I do talking to her on yahoo!  LOL

 I joined by accident , and stayed for the trivia, quizzes and now the polls the ideas and thoughts as with the people are widely diverse interesting funny sad and entertaining, As with everything i do in my life what i do here is my own decision and in my control i can always just log out. I talk very rarely and so have  not made any friends and if at some time i do it will be a bonus from coming here and taken as or what it is or would be.

 Being a sports person myself I joined this site for the  simple reason of gaining knowledge on  all the sports this site could offer and meeting some friends here is an added bonus and we are adult enough to express our knowledge in   posting comments whenever an issue is raised.  If ever relationship is being develop here I think that's their own prerogative to have since they are all old enough to know their own feelings.

I stayed because the friends I have on here are helpful, if I have a problem, dont understand something or (recently) can not find certain things.  If I talk to some more than others that is cool. I did not come here for a relationship.  This is not a dating site.  Which some people (cant name names) but they need to understand that. 

FanIQ has alot more than I expected on here. I am impressed and find new stuff everyday.

Kudos to Ty (plug for the Owner/Creator).  He founded a site that brings many people from all walks of life to one site where we can talk smack about each others teams (and still laugh later).

I am glad I joined.

 A  couple  of friends try to get me to join for a year and got bored and did it, There are many reason i  ended up staying one i love football and learning a lot and the people that i have meant are very kind  and that is why i have stayed . Thanks to all  of  the careing people and made me fell very welcome here , KISSES AND HUGS TO all  AND MY SMILE

when I sent an invitation to this site are registered by curiosity. My knowledge of the sport are not very good
then it became my interest has  interesting article , polls, and other people. here I found a place to forget care and to dismiss ... I agree that there are many people who are here not for sport ... but all people - world wide.

 Well I joined because I got an invite from one of my brothers one day and I decided to give it a try.........glad I did, now I am hooked! I have some very nice cool friends on the Q (an added bonus) I love basketball mostly, tennis and golf. I am not looking for a relationship on here (already taken) but some guys still try. I only want friendship though. But I still like to flirt! (and talk Sports)!

No matter what site you go on there are going to be wierdo's.But sooner or later they slip up and end up with a scholarship to americas most wanted university.Then they graduate as ValaDicktorian  to the school of hard knocks. Where BUBBA will be waiting in a prisoned issued apron.

I saw the Fan IQ logo when i was reading the Daily Oklahoman Sports comments and someone kept putting it at the bottom of there name. So i finally came here and liked it becouse i was always looking for sports trivia and sports quizes. I started in January 2009. All i did was play trivia and do the quizes. And then around may or june i found the locker room polls. My points went straight to the gutter lol.  I started spending way to much time in the locker room. But i did get lucky on one thing which was cubsgirl. And NO we were not trying or looking for anyone to hook up with. We just started talking and had a lot in commen. And it went from there to where it is now. There are a lot of nice people on this site that i have met and unfortunatly there are some people that are just rude, low class, bashers and attackers. They are the ones who are ruining the site and making people leave here. But i think they know now that i will not take any of there sh*t.  But anyways i am still here and i dont plan on leaving for a while.

 I joined because someone sent me an invite. I stayed because now I made a lot of friends and most feel like family. I have learned a lot about sports in the little time I have been a member. Also it helps me when my husband watches sports. Now I can chat with people and take quizzes and get through a whole game
