Something to note, with the absurd Winfield-Gehrig comparison, which should never have been made, EVER, is that Gehrig played in far less games, and had far fewer at bats. Gehrig's career batting average was .57 higher, and his career OPS is .253 higher. That's not even remotely close. Any attempts to compare the two of them are simply absurd, and should probably just be ignored.Something to note, with the absurd Winfield-Gehrig comparison, which should never have been made, EVER, is that Gehrig played in far less games, and had far fewer at bats. It's ridiculous to hear people talk like that.
For starters, he got fined the most in NFL history. I'd say that "caught up" to him.
2nd, let's keep this game in perspective. It was a regular season game. That's it. If that's "hell", then it's really not THAT bad at all.
3rd, mangling people's names like that is the most immature thing that sports fans have ever done. It doesn't matter who it is... Gay-ton Manning, Elisha Manning, Ben Worthlessberger, Bill Belicheat... it's all idiotic. It's ridiculous to hear people talk like that.

Why do you even go to a sports site? You couldn't do ANY athletes job, so what's the point of even talking about them at all? By your rules, the only thing you'd be allowed to do is kiss their ass all day. What's the fun in that?
The Dolphins and Panthers will play tonight, at 8:20 pm EST on the NFL Network. As long as you don't have Time Warner Cable, you should be able to see it. If you don't get NFLN, then I am sorry. You're really missing out. And not...

Honestly... that game scares me. Both of those teams have shown the tendency to be pretty good at times... but both have been pretty freaking terrible at other times. I could really see that game going any multitude of ways.
1) I'm not talking about Jimmie.
2) You can't do it either, and I'm not telling you to keep your mouth shut. I'll kindly ask you to show me the same courtesy.
And of course, the obligatory #3:
But... he's not. There's no logical way whatsoever to justify the claim that he's a "great driver". Great compared to you and me, perhaps. But compared to other drivers at his level, he's just pretty good, at best.
If that contract isn't good enough for him, then honestly I have no problem with the Red Sox letting him walk. I know it would be nice to see him stay, but overpaying for him wouldn't solve anything. They overpaid for JD Drew, and it set a terrible precedent. If that contract isn't good enough for him, then honestly I have no problem with the Red Sox letting him walk. Then why? I'm as outside as anyone could possibly be, but from what I've seen, he's not a winner, and he seems like a bit of a drama queen and a whiner, if anything. What is there to like about him as a driver? I just don't see it.
