Every day during the NBA playoffs, the Triple Threat will break down the latest action as they (slowly) move towards the Finals.Jazz eliminate Warriors All the Jazz needed to do to advance to the Western Conference Finals is make their free throws while the Golden State imploded. It took a while, but Utah did just that to win 100-87. The Warriors could not keep their composure late in the third, earning multiple flagrants and technicals. Luckily for them, Utah couldn't make the free throws, keeping the game close. However, the Jazz took the lead for good with a Kirilenko tip-in. A Derek Fisher three then made it 88-83. The Jazz couldn't make the field goal from then, but sealed the win by hitting free throws. Utah wins the series 4-1, and awaits the winner of the Spurs-Suns fight.
Bulls shoot their way into the series Simply put, it's easy to win a basketball game when you shoot 57% from the field and 10-16 from downtown. Such was the case for Chicago in their 108-92 victory to make their series competitive. The Bulls hit a near record 72% of their first half shots. For Detroit, they can take solstice in the context of Chicago's wins. The first was because the Pistons didn't show up, and this one was because of extremely hot shooting that can't continue. That said, momentum is still on the side of the Bulls, even though the Pistons lead 3-2.
