NBA Trade Suggestions -- What do you want your team to do?
READ MORE:
NBA
We're still a few weeks away from the official offseason, but the trade talk has already commenced.

Zach Randolph to New Jersey? Randolph for anything that might return a high pick for Mike Conley? The always prevalent Pau Gasol rumor should be strong this summer, but with no star in town and no Durant or Oden they couldn't trade him. How about the Bulls acquiring Nick Collison?

With two of the weaker West teams from a year ago potentially make a drastic climb up the standings I expect a lot of frantic movement this summer.

What moves would you like to see your team make this offseason?

The Lakers have to trade for Kevin Garnett if we even want to make the playoffs this upcoming season.

Andrew Bynum, Kwame Brown, Jordan Farmar, 2008 and 2009 1st round draft picks for KG.

Anything to move Randolph (and Darius Miles) out of the Portland strip clubs would be great!

I'm up for anything that involves Duhon. I like him, but the backcourt is crowded and clearly is going to come up weak in the playoffs.

Of course, my pipe dream trade would be to send Gordon, 9th pick, next years 1 and probably something else for KG. But that's not going to happen unless Deng is involved.

I know Paxson wants Yi badly, but I'd rather the Bulls sneak up and get Mike Conley while trading away any combo of guards. I don't think Hinrich is going to bring the Bulls to a title.

I think that's a decent trade, actually. However, McHale would have to ask himself how he'll draw any fans for the next few seasons. Timberwolves are in a good spot this draft to get a Yi, Wright, Noah, Jeff Green to help KG. I think any four of those players would please KG.

I think your Lakers need to give Kidd a serious offer this offseason if possible, and if KG deal is dead.

Don't they have a rule preventing the trade of #1 picks in back to back years or am I making that up?

Obviously I'm biased from the Laker point of view,  but I think its reached the point where the T'Wolves pretty much have to trade KG.  I think Bynum, Farmar, Foye, and their 7th pick would be a great young nucleus.  Obviously though, I don't have to face the business ramifications of trading KG like the T'Wolves do.

Kidd would help us a ton, and allow us to run some.  However, I like KG more because I think he is better and younger giving us a bigger window.

I'm not sure about that, if it is they could just change it to 2007 and 2009, but that would kind of suck.

All I want is KG to get traded to a contender.  The guy is still one of the top 5 all around players in the league.  He deserves to go somewhere where he has a chance to win.  Please let KG go K-Mac please!

I think the Bulls should try and get Pau Gasol, but make sure Deng isn't involved.

I'm still 50/50 on hearing about what the Pacers are gonna do to prepare for next season-- half of the people say they're gonna go into rebuilding mode, if that's true then just about the whole roster is for sale-- the other half say that the coaching change plus an attempt to get into the draft will be the only things going on this offseason....  I do have my "ears to the ground", though.

Oh and I can't really complain about trades.  Theres not much we can do there, but possibly one of the first rounders could go for some veteran help.  Maybe Mike Bibby?  But if we get three great rookies, I'm not complaining.

Disappointed to hear you say that about Hinrich, especially when the team has an obvious hole that's not at the pg spot. The guy averaged 9 apg in the series against DET, when his team only averaged 87.5 ppg (if I'm not mistaken). Also, I believe he was 2nd team all-nba defense and that Eddie Johnson may have called him the best defensive pg in the game.

I understand excitement over prospects right now (e.g. Conley), and Conley may prove to be a far better offensive pg than Hinrich (though I'd be surprised if the same was true on the defensive end). But relative to other pg's in the league today, I might say Hinrich is "very good", though not "great", and again the CHI roster has an obvious hole elsewhere. So, to me, the statement seems out of place.

I would like to see the Clippers get rid of Maggette, problem child, and pick up a more consistent scorer to back up Brand. Maybe, Rashard Lewis or Gasol would put them into contention. A healthy veteran point guard wouldn't hurt either.

Let's hope that most of the guys pondering retirement on the Heat roster do so. Payton? See ya pal, love ya but you got what you came for. Eddie Jones? Maybe he's not done, but he can go elsewhere. Mourning? Please stay. Bring the fire back to this team one more year.  Can we make some moves to net something good, like Lewis, KG, or VC? Hopefully. My dream is that since VC is a free agent that he doesn't look for the biggest payday and looks to get closer to home, just on a different beach. Like South Beach.

Thing is, I'm not sure how much trade value Maggette has (in terms of his rep around the league). If they can truly improve the team by trading him, great. Certainly, I'd see Lewis or Gasol as an improvement, but then it becomes a question of what the trade package looks like. Adding Billups (I'm not holding my breath) could be very nice for the Clipps.

First of all the Lakers cannot aquire Garnett with a 20 pick and Bynum that would be the worst trade in the world for the Wolves. If Garnett goes anywhere it should be to the Bulls becuase they have the material to aquire him. As for my team the Knicks we should now really go out and try to get Vince we got Channing, Nate, Jeffries there good young talents and that would give us next year Steph VC Q Lee n Curry nasty with Jamal coming off the bench

Clippers: draft a solid scorer (Nick Young, Acie Law IV) or a servicable big (Tiago Splitter?)

FA: someone who can effectively be a perimeter threat, resign Quinton Ross and Jason Hart

as for trade CMags, i'd rather hold off on that decision.

Seems like Hart did step in nicely. It would probably be good to resign him, as long as he doesn't have an inflated view of his worth.

I'm kind of hoping they'll take Law in the draft. If they wanted Young, I think they could trade down. Splitter could be nice; I've been thinking about him going to the Suns, but he may not be available when they pick (24th?).

How 'bout bringing Sofocles (Baby Shaq) over from Greece?
