It was my intention that the nominees each week would represent only specific fan bases, but based on your nominations it appears we need to open this up. Either I've done a horrible job explaining or I need to take a hint. I've gone with the latter. The Spurs have their own dynasty here on FanIQ. Fans of the least likeable team in basketball have taken home the only Stephen A. Shut the F Awards handed out. Congrats! Sadly their run is over, at least for a week. I have no doubt they'll leave their mark during these NBA Finals.
Ok, on to this week's nominees:
Pistons Fans for their short term memory. The complaints about officiating after Game 5 were legit in a few instances, but to declare that it was one-sided was short-sighted. How quickly you forget Lebron being mobbed at the end of Game 2. It was the officials that lost you the series, it was the lack of focus from several of your stars.
Kobe Bryant I'm unhappy. Do something about it. Wait, now I want to be traded. Just kidding, no I don't.
New York Media Is it really neccessary to make a story out of every little detail in Alex Rodriguez' life? Not to mention to poor headlines. I suspect this isn't the last time they'll either win or be nominated for such an award.
Howie Clark/Jay Gibbons Forget to put on their diapers during the Yankees series. Calling A-Rod's Hah! bush league.
Gary Sheffield Tin Foil hat fits him well this week: Latino players are easier to control.
Mr. Allan Stokke "Please to exploit my daughter." Failing to acknowledge the blog world is likely going to make her a great deal of money down the road, among other things.
Alright, time to air your greivances with the sporting world from the past week. Who needs to Shut the F Up?
