I've always rooted for the Underdogs, and there's no greater underdog in the state of Alabama than UAB.

When UAB played Army in the Black Knight's first game after 9/11; UAB has never cheered as loud for a visiting team before then, and it hasn't happened since.

They played in the first Super Bowl I ever really paid attention to (Super Bowl XXII), and I was impressed with what I saw. I've been hooked ever since.
