Hi! I am Austin Francis. I go to Martinsville High School (MHS). I am a junior at MHS and I will only be playing baseball this upcoming spring. I usually play basketball but I will probably sit out this season. Not sure though. Not sure what to say here. Just message me if you want to know anything else.

| Greatest Moment in Sports: | Would probably have to be when dale earnhardt finally winning the daytona 500 in his 20th try. he dominated at daytona his entire career, winning 34 races there, but every year something went wrong in the biggest race in NASCAR, the great american race. at one point or another in his first 19 tries, the intimidator had led every single lap of the daytona 500 EXCEPT lap# 200, the final lap. he led at the white flag twice, only to have something go wrong. one year he cut a tire on the final lap while leading, one year he hit a seagull late in the race while leading, messing up his cars handling. then in 1998, in his 20th try, he finally won it, and every crew member from all 43 teams lined up on pit road to congratulate him, something that had never been done before and has never been done since. i still remember mike joys call on TV as earnhardt took the checkered flag. "20 years of trying, 20 years of fustration, dale earnhardt will come to the checkered flag to win the daytona 500. FINALLY!" and then joy said, "you are about to witness the most anticipated moment in the history of auto racing, dale earnhardt pulling into victory lane after finally winning the daytona 500." it was the most emotional moment i've ever witnessed in sports. |

| My Sports Superstitions: | Any superstitons pretty much. Sports are filled with superstitions. like for baseball not talking about a no hitter or a 4 for 4 game. Eating the same thing everyday if you win the game that day. Dont step on the foul line when you take the field. Dont shave after a post-season win. Many many more. |
