Gouging out eyeballs is part of the game??? I'm sorry, but is there a section of the rulebook that defines how poking guys' eyeballs on the bottom of the pile is allowed? If it is part of the game, you should be furious that he is suspended for even a half! The fact is that it isn't "part of the game". It is cowardly and it is against the rules. This has got to be one of the dumbest pieces I've read in a long time. So, Cutler is 0-11 when his team is down by 14 points in the 4th quarter. This tells me what, exactly? I'd love to know some other QBs records when down by 14 at that stage of the game. Give us some basis for comparison. When a guy is called for boarding, typically it is when a guy is like 5' from the boards and is checked so that he is sent head first into the boards. That wasn't the case here. This Illinois squad has got to be the worst BCS team in America. The Indiana team that is blowing them out tonight got smoked last weekend by Virginia. The same Virginia team that lost at home to William & Mary (they won their 3rd straight today, so maybe they've turned it around, but I don't care.) I am more frustrated and fatalistic about Zook than I ever was about Turner, His last teams stunk, but the players were average or worse. Zook's teams are stinking it up filled up with highly thought of recruits! There is no hope for him. And the players coming in will only be worse after they see the awful teams he fields. As Scott said, Juice Williams peaked as a sophomore. Leshoure is the only RB worth a damn, yet they can't seem to figure this out and stay with a 3-man rotation.
