Seattle Seahawks Scrapbook (NFL)

*Almost* everyone who's worn a Seattle jersey. I'm not blind though; The Boz was an idiot and KoRo will never redeem himself in my eyes. I love the Hawks of the past; Dave Krieg, Steve Largent, Jim Zorn, Kenny Easley, Tez, Shawn Springs, Ricky "Running" Watters, Sean Dawkins, Chad Brown, Chris Gray, Mack Strong, Steve Hutchinson, Shaun Alexander, and yes even Josh Brown...I love almost all of our guys now, with the exception of Robinson and Wahle.

|
Why I am a fan:
|
I originally started out as a Colts fan, and have cheered for other teams as I was coming into my own (including the Bengals, Jets, Oilers, Packers...). In junior high though, I started to develop a loyalty to my "home" team, regardless of how bad they were and it's been all Hawks from there.
Plus, being a part of the 12th Man gives Seahawks fans an extra sense of belonging to something very special - it's inspirational.

Favorite Moments:

Of course the win over Carolina resulting in the Halas Hoist.
Every game I've ever been to has been amazing, even when we lose.
Getting to watch Camp Mora for a couple of days was AWESOME. Love muh-bois!

Why I am a fan:
|
I have some former Spokane Chiefs players to thank for making me a Ducks fan. Back in 2002 when they had some of my faves - Cam Severson, Kevin Sawyer, Kurt Sauer, and Coach Mike Babcock I started watching them closely and my loyalty to them was born and remains, even after my Chiefs have since scattered.
|
|
|
Favorite Moments:
|
Sauer's first NHL playoff goal in 2003, their domination of the '03 playoffs before they met the Devils, and of COURSE the entire 2006-2007 season and the Championship series that brought home Lord Stanley

The first college football game I ever went to was a WSU game and I was in awe of the stadium...I was excited to watch a "real live" football game and just thrilled to be there. It was the Cougs who inspired me to go to school at WSU.

All of the games I've been to have been a blast...and of course the Rose Bowls in '98 and '03 (yea there have been other Bowl games but those were the best)...these last few years have been disheartening; hopefully we can pick it up again!

Playoffs in 1999 - watching them come off the bus was bittersweet...good because they did so well but not so good because they weren't still there.

About Me
100% Complete Bio
I'm Jess, the community manager of this awesome site. If you have any questions about the way things work around here, let me know!.......
About me....I get goosebumps for exciting victories and tears for championship defeat (even if it's not my team). I thrive on football and hockey, but I'll watch almost any sport - and give me enough time, I'll be obsessed. I cheer for the underdog if I don't have a set team preference for a specific game - and I'm thrilled when the Cinderella team wins it all (as long as it's not against my team!) Pro-retirement ceremonies are one of the very few things that can make me cry but I always watch them anyway.......
I LOVE road trips and anything outdoorsy - but my idea of *A* perfect day is spent curled up in an overstuffed chair with sunflower seeds and a drink, the Q on the laptop, the NFL on from morning through afternoon and the NHL in the evening on a big screen TV. Color me happy...but call me lazy.

Teams
Jess
Hates
| Dallas Stars | |
| Why I Hate Them: | I don't hate teams, but if I did, these guys would be at the VERY top of the list. I do dislike them... |
| Players I Hate: | Marty Turco...seriously, how many times can one goalie lift a frickin net on purpose on one game without getting called on it? I think he tries to break his own record EVERY GAME for that crap!...and Billy Guerin when he was there. |
| New England Patriots | |
| Why I Hate Them: | Nah, I don't hate them...but a lot of their fans tick me off. |
| Players I Hate: | None... |
| Pittsburgh Steelers | |
| Why I Hate Them: | Again...I don't hate teams but a lot of the players and their ignorant fans are starting to push them that way. Note: I don't think all Steelers fans are ignorant; we have some perfect examples of GOOD Steelers fans right here on FanIQ...but a good lot of them are arrogant homers who fail to see any fault in their team or players even if it's blatantly there in front of them. That annoys me. |
| Players I Hate: | None... |
| Dallas Cowboys | |
| Why I Hate Them: | I don't hate them either, but again...most of their fans tick me off. |
| Players I Hate: | None... |
| Washington Huskies | |
| Why I Hate Them: | I don't hate teams, but if I did... Because I'm supposed to :D |
| Players I Hate: | None... |
| New York Yankees | |
| Why I Hate Them: | I don't hate teams, but if I did... 'Cuz I'm a Mariners fan. And most of the Yankees and their fans are loudmouth a-holes. (For those of you friends of mine that are Yankees fans - love you :D ) |
| Players I Hate: | I hear that Jeter guy's a real d-bag |
| Pacific | |
| Why I Hate Them: | I LOVE my team and don't hate any in the Pacific division even though they're rivals...this is just for one player in particular that has no other place right now, so I have to put them here... |
| Players I Hate: | CHRIS PRONGER! He frickin takes STUPID penalties, putting his team in a bind at the worst times. He's dirty. He may be a great leader in the locker room but he's a crap leader on the ice and now he's taking Corey Perry down with him. I want him OFF my team. STAT. |
