Of all the martial arts, Hapkido is one of the best attributed to it's practical self-defense; it's dynamic, balanced, and versatile.

Favorite Players:

Jackie Chan, and Marc Tedeschi--whose gifts of knowledge are a great contribution to those seeking such.
Why I am a fan:
Some pugilistic styles are striking, some grappling, locking, throwing, etc. Hapkido is one of the most practical martial arts that incorporates a balance of each category, manifesting such into one of the most dynamic fighting applications in history.

Favorite Players:
(current and past)
Wang Lang, Yip Man, Bruce Lee, Sonny Chiba, Jet Li, Chuck Norris, Jackie Chan, Billy Banks, and Wesley Snipes..
Why I am a fan:
The combat is impressive to say the very least. I am awestruck when seeing the Shaolin Monks demonstrations. Even so, the 'inner-work', healing, and meditative elements that accompany the practice of the various pugilistic arts is of great interest to me personally.
Favorite Moments:
My personal training in various arts from wrestling, Praying Mantis Kung-Fu, Tang Soo Do, and my study of Dim Mak.

Technically, there's no such thing as Dim Mak. "Dim Mak" was the creation of Chinese fiction in the 1950's. There are, however, various Chinese disciplines that study the vital points for various purposes such as Zhen Bian (acupuncture), Zhen Jiu, Tui Na, and (the combative element) Chin Na (or Qin'na). Japan has a similar practice that is derived from Chin Na, called Atemi.
Why I am a fan:
Knowledge is power. The knowledge of the body is most beneficial when it is applied to healing in lieu of harming.
