How many times have we seen a team knock off a top 5 team and then the next week lay an egg against less superior teams. Stanford is a really good team but traditionally nowhere near in the same league as a USC

At the risk of being labeled someone who "kisses ass", I've thoroughly enjoyed the articles and hotlinks that you post. That said, I understand that you are excited about your team getting the #1 running back in the nation but IMO, that link or article is more appropriate for the Auburn Tiger team page. You have to remember that the front page blog's main focus is publishing articles and newslinks that the writers feel can draw traffic and users to the site. While an Auburn story like this might be something that you find interesting, more times then not the national average sports fan just isnt interested in it. No disrespect to one of your favorite teams but programs like Auburn and Illinois arent in the same league as the Ohio State's, Michigan's and Notre Dames of the world. If I remember correctly, one of the few times we had a story on the main blog about recruiting was the battle between Ohio State and Michigan for Terrelle Pryor. Why? Because those two programs are more of a big deal in the college football world compared to your Auburn Tigers or my Fighting Illini. I dont think that's FanIQ writers being predjuiced, I think that's just the writers knowing what "sells" and draws traffic to the blog. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to know that more people on this site and sports sites in general are fans of the OSU's, Oklahoma's, Texas' and Michigan's of the world. And no, I'm not a paid employee of this site. I'm just the average power user who's been here since the very beginning. Why is it that when something has worked over and over again, coaches stop doing it? Zook and company have stopped pressing and blitzing the Gophers and Adam Weber is now picking them apart.
