It is all of the above but most of the issues is that he doesn't care about Defense, so in my opinion as long as he is there he will never care about or try to improve the defense..........he will just try to get by with a so-so D and try to outscore opponents. I keep posting that he is not even trying to improve the D...............of 20 verbal commitments 7 are defensive players and most of the offensive kids are WR and RB's so how do you improve a D when you aren't even recruiting for that side of the line. The Lions have been playing on Thanksgiving Day since before anyone on this site was born(1934) it used to be for many years just the Packers and it has been during good years and bad. There were many years of multiple teams playing on that day and for a long time just the Cowboys and Lions, but thanks to the NFL Network which not everyone can get there is a 3rd game, which gives everyone a choice of who you would like to watch. I say leave it because it is fine and teams are rotated in and you can usually see a good team play.The Lions have been playing on Thanksgiving Day since before anyone on this site was born(1934) it used to be for many years just the Packers and it has been during good years and bad. Good one Spoiled Gator fan...............................I would like the names of these stellar defensive players since he is not recruiting any. Reading one of my posts earlier would show you that of 20 incoming verbals so far only 7 are defensive players yep only 7. Again the problem is he has no interest in working on a defense.............20 verbal commits and ONLY 7 are for the defense. If you can't stop anyone then you cannot win games.................................

First of all I am a big fan, but disgusted with the way he is going. Just building an offense and deciding that I will just play to outscore the other team is stupid. Nothing is changing as of right now.............of the 20 verbal commitments for next year 7 are defensive players did you see that 7......................... No one can tell me that watching them score and then watch the other team race right down the field and score is fun............Last year they lost to Toledo at HOME and that was the first ever MAC school to beat Michigan a couple of weeks later they(Toledo) fired their coach because they were so BAD..............they are losing to teams they seem to be taking for granted that they can beat and they can't............teams in the High School Playoffs here in Michigan probably could score on their D right now and yes I really believe that from watching them. I really believe that he thinks as long as HIS offense plays like he wants they will win despite the D.First of all I am a big fan, but disgusted with the way he is going. It is embarrassing to be a Wolverine fan right now with this team and the Defense that Rich Rod is not interested in putting together, his offense, offense, offense mind has gotten the best of me and I am not watching anymore until he decides to get...

He is much like all the other over hyped USC players................average NFL players. The truth is that the not so hyped players coming out of USC have been having better consistent careers than many of the hyped up players................I am sure some USC homer will come on and start naming a FEW that are doing well, but think about all of those players that got all kinds of hype and where they are today versus the players who were later round draft picks that are solid performers for their teams.He is much like all the other over hyped USC players................average NFL players.
