Any of the 3 pitchers is deserving. I think Carpenter was most deserving. Keith Law of ESPN just steams me - I think his vote was a grandstand to get himself in the limelight. I would favor a players vote on all awards and the HOF, it would mean more to be honored by your peers anyway. Writers are a joke - wonder what the reasoning was on the writers who didnt include Willie Mays or Sandy Koufax on their ballots(noone has ever been unanimous that I am aware of)!Any of the 3 pitchers is deserving. chisoxfan84 commented on Tim Lincecum wins his second Cy Young award in a row. He becomes the first pitcher ever to win Cy Youngs in his first two full seasons in MLB.

ST Louis sports talk show on KFNS stated they had no problem with Lincecum getting the Cy Young, but a basball prospectus writer left either Carpenter or Wainwright off for Dan Haren, and Keith Law of ESPN left one of the 2 off his ballot for Javier Vasquez. That likely would not have changed the outcome, but this is another example that anything the baseball writers vote on is a farce (in my opinion). They get things right by accident, or its so obvious even those idiots get it right. Javy and Haren had fine years, but neither is anywhere near the level of Lincecum, Carpenter or Wainwright this year. What You said! That pretty much covers it! One of his critics cited in the article needs a geography lesson. ST Louis is on the california side of the mississippi river, and I am offended to be lumped in with 'east coast bias'.

I have no problem with the winners, but why is Gordon Beckham only 5th? On the surface, that reinforces this as an award that maybe should be voted on by the players, not writers. The Rams are improving each game, I think they'll give the Cardinals quite a tussle, and possibly pull out a win. Cardinals come to STlouis next year and years following, they better pack a lunch, because its a matter now of getting an excellent coaching staff more talented players to work with. Future is bright, not sure what will be accomplished this year, but its definitely looking up for the future.The Rams are improving each game, I think they'll give the Cardinals quite a tussle, and possibly pull out a win. I can relate to what you are saying cause I am hearing the Rams disrespected every day(no doubt their play right now is warranting it).
