The fact is that until I see somebody beat Cincinnati I think they are good as any team in the country, is the Big East the SEC? No, but can UC play with anybody, why can't they? The have solid NFL caliber players at all levels of the team, great coaching and they finish games, do you seriously believe they wouldn't beat LSU? They'd have a shot at beating UF, Gilyard's a top 5 WR, Pike's a top 5 QB, Collaros his back up is mini-Tebow, but faster and with much better passing mechanics, they have 2 very good lines and an underrated secondary. He was on the 1st/2nd round cusp of some draft boards, this is sure to hurt him. Amongst seniors only LaFell, Gilyard and possibly Decker are rated above him. I shudder when I think the things I have seen and unfortunately felt at the bottoms of dogpiles, fumbles are the worst, if you ever want to retaliate or cheap shot another player sudden changes of possession are often the ticket and back in my day turfing the QB after a pick was just good fun. Seriously though the eye is very delicate and if he had really hurt this kid then to quote the late great Warren Zevon: "Lawyers, Guns and Money" could have gotten involved. The OK State game is one I agonized over, but I get the sense that Gundy might get out-coached here. Don't be too surprised if UT gets stubborn in the run game in order to get two or 3 big plays against the Cowboy's aggressive secondary by combining play-action with double moves and ekes out a 3-4 point win. On the UH game it's a great match up of 2 of the most impressive young coaches in the NCAA, just watch Sumlin and Fedora are both headed for big things in their careers. Might be the game of the day. Watch out for TCU to let down against UNLV and play down a to the Running Rebels level and win by 17-24 points. Ben Roethlisberger is not only built like a TE, he played the position 2 years in HS, Tebow's build is not the issue. There have been successful QB's from 5'5 3/4 166-Eddie LeBaron to 6'5 3/8" 237 Drew Bledsoe, good QBs come in all shapes and sizes. It should noted that few NFL coaches: Paul Brown, Chuck Noll, Bill Walsh, Bill Belichick, [the son of a famous scout], amongst them are actually astute judges of collegiate talent. In the NBA race is everything in the late 80's I heard a member of one NBA franchise joke to another that "Soon the NBA will stand for Nothing But Africans" and the other responded, You mean Nothing But Animals. This was off the record, but 1 of those men is still in the league and has been promoted several times. Maybe it was just a joke, but at the least it shows a cluelessness about what makes the league.
