Stop complaining, and understand what is happening, that these players, escpecially the SENIORS, have simply not gotten the job done. The players are to be blamed. That's right, the players. With all due respect Ryan, i simply disagree. To change the Michigan staff again, after only two years is a mistake. Michigan will not, in my opinion, will not be able to finish in the Top 15 with a new staff for the third time since 2007. Now, an i happy.? Absolutely not. It is terrible, and very embarrassing for the program. I simply do not believe that the players on defense, with the exception of Brandon Graham, are capable of playing Big ten football...yes, that means i think they are not smart enough to understand simple defensive play calling. That will only improve by recruiting players who Do understand, and WILL make plays. Yes, the ultimate responsibility goes to the head coach, and I'm sure that Rich Rodriguez would say that he is responsible, but the simple fact is that this team is just not very smart, lacks leadership from it's seniors, who, by the way, are Seniors brought in by coach Carr's staff. I am not happy about the current condition of the football program, and as unhappy as the next Michigan fan, but i am just not willing to blame coach Rodriguez...not yet. Sorry, i feel your pain, but how can you ask Michigan to start over once again, with a new staff, after only two years. I have watched every game, and i simply believe that these players, especially on defense, are not coach able. With the exception of Brandon Graham on defense, they are just not capable of understanding how, or what to do at the snap of the ball. This is a young team, that's the excuse i hear from UM fans, and from some coaches. however, i really do believe that these guys just don't get it, and that is amazing, in the fact that they practice against the spread every day in practice. Now, i would give you the names of the players that belong back in high school ball, but that would require going over the entire Wolverine defense, with, as i said earlier, the exception of Graham. The players don't know were to line up on defense, they don't understand the defensive signals, and they break down at the snap of the ball. Now, with all that said, i simply do not believe that Head Coach Rich Rodriguez must go. That just cannot happen. Now, do i think there will be mass changes in the off season.? Yes. But whatever the changes, i will support the Michigan Program, from the top down. Yes, that's right, i support the Michigan Football staff, the administration, and even the players. Why.? Because the Michigan Wolverines are my team, and they are my team, win, or lose, in good times, and in bad, just like they have been since i became a fan of the #1 ranked team in the land in 1976. I have been a fan through great wins, and horrible losses, through Big Ten Championships, Rose Bowl Championships, a National Championship, and through 6-6 in 1984, kicking off to Rocket Ismail...again.!, Colorado, and Stewart to Westbrook, the resignation of coach Moeller, a 54-51 loss @ Northwestern...Appalachian State...and through it all, i am still, and always be, a fan of the Michigan Wolverines. Patience is a virtue, and virtue is something clearly missing from the fans, and the media, who are on a continuous mission of ripping the Michigan Football program, it's players, and it's coaches. The team is what it is, a group of young men, and their coaches, rebuilding the winningest program in NCAA history back where it belongs. Those fans who are asking for the coaching staff to be fired ,are the same group, for the most part, who also wanted Lloyd Carr out two years ago. They are not true Michigan fans. A true fan should be disappointed, and any true fan should always want their team to win, however, not sticking with your team, and not supporting the coaching staff, and the players, is wrong. Michigan will be in a bowl game this year, and that is a great leap forward from 2008. Michigan has already received 20 commitments for the 2010 season, and they return many key players, including Tate Forcier. Patience, the Wolverines will be back, and with a vengeance.
