Why I am a fan:

I saw those helments run on the field for the first time 33 years ago, distinctive winged helments, i knew they were MY TEAM!!

Going to "The Big House" for the first time, in 1997, watching Brian Griese lead the Wolverines to a come from behind 28-24 victory over Iowa, on the way to the National Championship!

Why I am a fan:
|
The '68 Tigers World Series Champions, and then the 1972 Eastern Division Title with the same basic team, a bunch of veterans making one last run at the World Series, coming up just short, losing the 5th game, 3-2 to Oakland.

My first visit to Tiger Stadium, in 1969, Denny McLain beat the White Sox, 8-0.

Again, growing up in the north, all four seasons of life, and watching the Lions on Thanksgiving Day, hoping for a Lions win, and then playing outdoors after the game, I was QB Greg Landry, my favorith Lions QB EVER!!

Favorite Moments:
|
Lions beat Bills, 27-14, on Thanksgiving Day, 1976. Only 16, i scalped 2 tickets outside the Silverdome, O.J. ran for a then NFL record 273 yards.

Why I am a fan:
|
Michigan in the mid 70's was the best team in the Big Ten, until they played Indiana. In 1976, the Wolverines were 30-3...all 3 losses to the Hoosiers. They were the first Michigan team to play for a National Title with me as a fan.
