Hoping that your team loses is simply pathetic, and anyone who roots for their team to lose are not true fans. I have been a Michigan fan for 33 years, and the last two years have been hard for me to watch, but they are still my team, and they will still be my team as long as i live. Fans support their team, through the good times, and the bad. Michigan Football is my identity. When people i know see me, they know that i follow all the Detroit pro teams, but they immediately call me out about the Wolverines, good, and bad. Rich Rodriguez is a very good football coach, he will recruit great players, he will lead the Wolverines to Big Ten tiles, and he will take the Wolverines to BCS Championship games. Now, those thing will not happen next year, or maybe even the next, but those thing will happen, and Michigan fans must believe this, and they cannot keep asking their coaches to be fired every two years. The Michigan football program shall be championship caliber again, and all those who are cursing the current staff will be the first ones jumping up to praise him once the Wolverines are winning again. Great article. The problem with everything that is the NCAA, and the BCS, is that the SEC/ Big 12, etc. Championship Game love fests that gives guys like Tebow a extra game to do something that players just as deserving cannot do, and that is be on TV in prime time to show how good of players that they are. Even as far back as 1981, when PITT's DE Hugh Green was arguably the best player in the country, non-offensive guys just aren't given enough credit, or respect from Heisman voters.Great article. Thanks for the Jack Morris love. I get so disgusted when the ballots come out, and Morris and Blyleven have not been elected, it's ridiculous. As a tiger fan, i am biased, yes, but what Jack Morris acieived after he left the Tigers should be what puts him over the top. In addition to the wins, and the 1984 WS ring with Detroit, Morris went on to win two moer WS rings, in 1991 with the Twins, in which he pitched a ten inning, 1-0, WS clinching performance vs. the Braves, and then again in 1992 with the Blue Jays. If Morris had pitched for the writers beloved Yankees, Red Sox, or Braves, he would have already been voted into the HOF. Here's hoping that Jack's call comes this January, and that he goes in with Blyleven.Thanks for the Jack Morris love. I like the old Big Ten schedules that had the Wolverines playing 11 straight games, and ending before Thanksgiving. But, with the 12th game, it's just to much for a team to play 12 games in a row, so is this helps, then i'm fine with it. Go Blue.!

Yes, it is official now, and congrats to Lincecum, however, as in the A.L., i believe the voters got it wrong again. Adam Wainwright of the Cardinals, who finished third, behind teammate Chris Carpenter should have been the winner. The Cardinals won the N.L. Central Division, in large part to their great pitching staff. Lincecum is a great pitcher, but the Giants, like the Royals in the A.L., did not make it into the playoffs, and that should be the deciding factor in voting for these regular season awards. 16 wins, and a third place finish should not overtake 19 wins, and a division crown.Yes, it is official now, and congrats to Lincecum, however, as in the A.L., i believe the voters got it wrong again.
