Greatest Moment in Sports:I remember Bill Mazeroski's game winning homer in the 1960 world series. My best buddy, Jim Slavin, left Guantanamo Bay on leave to watch his Yankees in the Series. He cam back with his tail between his legs and we were surprised that he came back at all.
Greatest Event in Sports:The USA victory in hockey at the 1980 Olympics.
Greatest Athlete of All Time:No question..............Jim Thorpe.
Greatest Coach of All Time:Joe Paterno.
Most Fanatical Moment:Moved my family from Philly to Connecticut in hopes of doing well in my company. Became VP before the age of 40 with no college.

Most Disappointing Sports Moments:Anytime that the Eagles or Phillies lose.

Career Highlights:I had my first (and only) hole-in-one in 2004, after 49 years of playing golf. I was on the Philadelphia City Championship football team as a Sophomore at LaSalle HS. We shut out our last 8 opponents and beat a team for the City title that had 2 upcoming NFL players, Herb Adderly (Packers & Cowboys) and Angelo Coia (Bears & Redskins) by a score of 26-0.
Career Lowlights:Whiffing on a golf shot.
Sports Injuries:Never had a broken bone. However, my youngest son was Captain of his HS team (Shelton, CT) and college team (Delaware Valley College) and never had an injury until he broke his fibula with 3 games left in his college career. However, he started and played his last game in college three weeks later.
Games I Usually Attend:Local town amateur baseball (Mount Wolf Wolves); Philadelphia Phillies game generally once a year.
Greatest Sporting Event I've Attended:Eagles beating Cowboys in January 1981 for the NFC title; Phillies beating Royals in 1980 in the World Series; Philadelphia Flyers beating the unbeaten Russian Army Team in 1975 (or 76) at the Spectrum; the last game at Connie Mack Stadium between the Phillies & the Expos; and the first game at the Vet between the same teams.
