Favorite Players:
(current and past)
Adrian Peterson, Brett Favre, Jared Allen, Percy Harvin, Alan Page, Carl Eller, Fran Tarkenton, Chuck Foreman, Robert Smith (retired way too early, loved his stride!
Why I am a fan:
Loved the name and had always been fascinated with the Ancient Vikings.Purple is a favorite color. Then came "the purple people eaters'...'nuff said. I stay with the Vikings, win or lose.
Favorite Moments:
Wow, that's a hard one. I used to love watching Alan Page getting called for offside when he really wasn't, Jesus, he was fast! SACK!!! Any long run by Chuck Foreman, Robert Smith(what a beautiful stride!) Sir Francis Tarkenton, the fact that arguably, we have the greatest quarterback ever playing for us now, and it doesn't friggin' matter that he's 40, Favre's shotgun arm is still there, like always...receivers around the league are still afraid to catch him. And finally, All Day!!! #28. Sweet!!

His Highness Michael Jordan...who else? Though there were many others that have contributed to the tradition that is the Tar Heels, EVERYBODY knows MJ.
Why I am a fan:
Dean Smith's coaching genius got me hooked.
Favorite Moments:
I think it was '83, maybe '82 or '84, I can never get that year straight, but it was when they were playing Ewing and the Georgetown Hoyas for the title, and at the end of the 63-62 UNC win, one of the Hoya players panicked with the ball and passed it to James Worthy, Worthy took off the other way and UNC ran the clock out and won the title.

Sports junkie! DUH! I'll watch celebrity curling. LMAO. One more class is all I need, and I'm officially a college graduate. SKOL VIKINGS!!!!
Bats: R
Throws: L
Schools: West Lincoln High, Gaston College
Relationship Status: Long Term Contract (Married)
Kids: 3 grown stepsons
Occupation: Student right now. Will try to join the workforce after graduation, September, 2010.
Places I lived: Cleveland,Ohio
Greatest Moment in Sports:I don't remember the year, but it was when the Americans took the Ryder Cup from the Internationals with a putt from Justin Leonard. That was one of my personal greatest feelings I've ever had in sports, only because my Vikes haven't won a SB yet.
Greatest Event in Sports:Olympics, not counting Munich.
Greatest Athlete of All Time:Muhammad Ali. GOAT Greatest Of All Time!
Greatest Coach of All Time:Dean Smith and Chuck Noll in a tie.
Most Fanatical Moment:burned a couple of Minnesota Viking caps...different seasons. Understandably so, but i am chest bumping and calf-roping right along with Jared Allen, hopefully to the Big Dance and a win instead of a fifth loss.Pllleeeeaassseeee! we ain't Buffalo.
My Sports Superstitions:I've tried it all and don't much believe in it any more. i think, though, that this just might be the year for my vikings. This group is a talented bunch, except for the secondary.I'd try Percy Harvin back there and let him make the big plays that he is capable of
Most Disappointing Sports Moments:The 4 Super Bowls the Vikings have lost, and The KC Royals and my Cardinals in the World series..don't remember the year, but it was game six and it was cards 1-0 in the eighth, and the ump at first blew a blatant out call safe for KC. IT WAS THE THIRD OUT! But NOOOOOO. Man on first for KC and went on to win the game, tied the series at three apiece, went back to KC and Cards , like me, said screw it, the umps are paid and proceeded to GIVE game seven to the royals 10-1.
Fantasy Sports I Play:NFL, MLB, Golf
Fantasy Skill Level:intermediate
Sports I Play:Golf
Current Skill Level:I'm a hacker on the links, but have shot an 88, my best so far. Love to play golf.
Highest Organized Level:Blew a knee in high school football...game over. Was planning then to head to the NFL. I WAS GOOD!! Played at corner(nobody caught one on me,when the ball came, it was mine) Middle Linebacker. Loved it. Knocking the ball loose and hitting everybody, especially the QB.It was great1 My calling, I swear. But that's over and now I write, because many have told me that I am gifted at it.Hoping to get something published when I'm finished with it,if that ever happens!!!LOL
Career Highlights:Was one of the top three players on my high school team, and could run the hundred in 10 seconds flat. I placed second in the state once for the fastest man.
Career Lowlights:Tearing my knee that ended my football playing days. I'll take that to my grave.
Sports Injuries:knee
Greatest Sporting Event I've Attended:Live in NC, so I went to a Monday night game at Bank of America stadium and watched the Panthers beat the Packers good. I think the final was something like 38-14, with Favre playing. I'm still glad he's in Minnesota now.
Sports People I've Met:Mike Minter, Jimmie Johnson (NASCAR)...he's a prick!, Brentson Buckner,Lou Brock, Bob Gibson.
Most Prized Sports Possessions:All of my St. Louis Cardinal stuff, mostly caps. And my A.P. rookie card, now worth about a hundred.
Sports Trading Cards:I used to have lots of valuble stuff, but sold most of it over the years. The one I have now that I like the most is an Adrian Peterson in his Oklahoma uniform.
Athlete Autographs:Unfortunately, I have none. I'm not really in a big media market. I do have Brentson Buckner's autograph on the back of one of my raincoats, but it is camoflauge and you can hardly see it. I once pulled a Joe Namath out of a pack of upper deck cards, but sold it for 450.00. Now it's worth about a hundred.
Favorite Sports Collectibles:Caps and cards, but more if I could afford it.
Dream Sports Job:Assistant somewhere in the Vikings organization. They'd win the Super Bowl then, I guarantee it.
Favorite Jerseys:Chuck Foreman.
Favorite Ballgame Foods:Doesn't matter.
Hottest Athletes:You kiddin' me? Anna Kournikova. And Danica Patrick.
Favorite Sports Announcers:Pat Summeral and Tom Brookshire, John Gruden(man, does he know the game), I love Chris Berman, Mike Ditka, Terry,Howie and coach Johnson,Dick Vitale, Joe Buck and without a doubt, his great father as well. R.I.P. Jack, we loved you.
Least Favorite Sports Announcers:I hate Collinsworth. John Madden was a great coach, knows the game inside out, but you know, you know, you know, you know...not the best of analyses.
Favorite Sports "Experts":Me.
Least Favorite Sports "Experts":Bob Costas, thinks he (knows-it-all), Matt Millen(really dirty player, so I've never liked him), Howard Cosell(drunkard).
Favorite Sports Movies:Brian's Song (what else?), Happy Gilmore, Talledega Nights(never liked Will Ferrel, but this flick was made for him, it's funny as hell and I don't even like NASCAR that much),Tin Cup.
Favorite Sports Books:Life story of Lou Alcindor(Kareem Abdul-Jabbar).
Favorite Sports Websites:NFL Fan IQ!!!!, NFL.com,MLB.com, ESPN.com.
Non-Sports Hobbies and Interests:college studies take most of my time right now, but I like to build model airplanes, and have won awards (just two) for my expertise.
Movies:different stuff. Just about anything with any substance. My favorite s are usually man stuff, you know, action flicks. But I'll watch Steel Magnolias...really! But most of the time, I'd rather watch the first Die-Hard! "come out to the coast, we'll get together, have a few laughs..."
TV:24, House, Bones, NFL, MLB NCAA basketball.
Music:Widely varied taste, anything from Enigma to Danny Gokey.
Video Games:Nope...makes my BP shoot up and makes me really nervous.
