About Me

I am a retired children's librarian. Yes, I got my BS from the University of Kentucky and my MLIS from UK which has an ALA accredited program. I also have a Master of Arts in English from Morehead State University. I tell everyone there shouldn't be a U of L or a Morehead or an Eastern that they should be the University of Kentucky at Morehead, the University of Kentucky at Louisville, etc. I am trying to get a rise out of them, but they have me figured out. I have one son and he has 3 beautiful children. The youngest two are 11 months apart. They are the joy of my life. My husband Tony is also retired from manufacturing. We have a small farm and he raises cattle and tobacco. We live in the northern part of the state.

| Greatest Athlete of All Time: | Oh, good grief! Who would you say, Muhammad Ali? Michael Jordan? Tiger Woods? Pete Rose? except many people think his bad habits would take that away from him. Lou Gehrig? Babe Ruth? Kobe Bryant? It is so subjective. There is no way to say. |
| Greatest Coach of All Time: | Whoever coaches UK to the championship. |
| Most Fanatical Moment: | I jumped down on the floor when in college with Grevey's Gorillas and we lined up with the cheerleaders and welcomed the players in. We got on TV. |
| My Sports Superstitions: | I don't have any. |
| Most Disappointing Sports Moments: | When Christian Laettner made that last second shot against Kentucky in the NCAA and knocked them out of the tournament when Pitino was coaching and the Unforgettables were playing and played way above their heads to get as far as they did. |

They train and it is difficult. I just think watching a bunch of cars running around in a circle where the excitement depends on a pile up is boring. Some of the NFL quarterbacks are hot, but I don't remember names. If they come to me, I will edit this. |

Teams
Debbe
Hates
| Louisville Cardinals | |
| Why I Hate Them: | I always got tired of listening to Denny Crum whine when he was there. Sour grapes all the time. Whine. Whine. Whine. Then when Rick Pitino took them on, I was disgusted because I figured he regretted leaving UK and UofL was available. He bombed on the pro level and he liked it in Kentucky. At that time, Tubby Smith was firmly entrenched at UK. So, UofL was it or nothing. It was also the only other high profile program in the state. At least he was close to a major race track which he likes. Louisville does have a nice city life and cultural advantages, so I guess he and whoever he chose for company were able to take advantage of that. I'll never forget what Rick Pitino did for UK when he was there, but I sure hope he doesn't have the same success for UofL. |
| Players I Hate: | No one playing today. One that shall live in infamy: Christian Laettner |
| ACC | |
| Why I Hate Them: | Duke and North Carolina because I think sports coverage favors ACC teams. I think sportscaster act like the ACC is the Mecca of the NCAA sports world and I am sick of it. I get so sick of Jim Nantz and especially the homer Billy Packer during NCAA tournament time I could throw up! |
| Players I Hate: | None added yet... |
| Pittsburgh Steelers | |
| Why I Hate Them: | I have to have a reason? I think they keep hitting on players after they are down. They are dirty players. |
| Players I Hate: | None added yet... |
| Buffalo Bills | |
| Why I Hate Them: | I have always been suspicious of them. I dislike them for the same reason I dislike the Steelers. They play dirty. |
