I think the refs are homestly tring to the best they can. The problem is in many sports when on ref or ump makes a call, the others do not help when they see it may be a bad call. They support their 'brother' and do not want to 'show him up.' This has got to stop. Help needs to be offerred when a bad call is made. If they will not do that, then we must go to the dreaded replay for more plays. so that is my message: REFS AND UMPS - as a group you put your individual egos aside and get it right on the field or succumb to more and more criticism and game slowing replays.I think the refs are homestly tring to the best they can. Coach Rodriguez has focused on offense and it has performed OK, but the defense has sufferred. Until he gets a better defensive scheme and the players who can produce, we will be cursed with games like yesterday's 38-36 loss. I agree with Big Blue that he still should get at least one more year to show his stuff. Real progress must be made in 2010 - to me that means about 8-4 or better. I am not liking most of the changes, I cannot yet access the 'game' part for some reason. They have ignored the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' theory. The worst if the limited 'respects'. It will lessen my time on the site.

Tigers have to shore up pitching - they are close and need one more quality starter and one more good set up man. Bonderman coming back strong would be a big plus. Cabrera needs to grow up and be a man - a mature, dedicated Cabrera could be a Pujols clone. Twins - need both pitching and middle infield help. M & M will keep the team competitive, but in order to attract Joe Mauer to sign a long term contract they will have to get him and Morneau some real help. Mauer will probably accept less money to stay in MN ($25M/year vs. $30M/year), but the Twins management will have to spend that savings on a quality player.Tigers have to shore up pitching - they are close and need one more quality starter and one more good set up man. All are great takes - I voted for #2 despite being a HUGE Tiger fan - totally embarassed by the attitude and actions of Cabrera. Yes he is a monster on the field, but now we know he is one off the field, too. Grow up, Miggy. Sheesh! I also agree with #1 - I love Favre, think he is great, but jeez I have to turn off the TV sometimes, when it becomes ESPN Favrecenter. BUT: it is not what life is about - you do NOT live and die with the success or failure of your team - so lighten up we are all human and make mistakes. Also - Until the NCAA makes the players actually attend classes and do their own work - you OWE us an NCAA division 1 football playoff to determine a national championship - you hypocritical mofos.
