Why I am a fan:
|
I played Football, Basketball and Baseball. The feel of the rush of a Big game. The simple mistake's that happen that bring the differance in a win or lose and the competition. As they say don't get off the porch, unless you can play with the Big Dog's. Well we have found out those Little Dog's can play with the Big Dog's. Hat's Off to Boise State and Toledo for proving that. That and I love hating USC and the Crap 10.

Probley because they are America's Team and because of the number of OU players that have gone from OU to the cowboys. That and getting the oppertunity to play against Troy Aikmen in High School and beating a q-Back that went on to such a great career.

Why I am a fan:
|
I grew up when they were the Elite in baseball at the time. I was a catcher in high school and collage. But Knowing a player of Johnny Bench came from a little town called Binger, Okla showed me Dreams can come true. That and in the 70's. They were a class act. Win or lose they played the game with passion and Respect for the game and not for Big Money contracts.

Watching pete Rose play. He was a true example of what giving a 110% on the field every play, very at bat, every slide. In my book how can there be a Hall of Fame with out Pete Rose in it.

Because of the History and the Past and Present player's. The Championship's, The Tradition of Excellence. That and the player are held to a standard that all team's should. Look Sharp, Play Sharp because you represent not only yourself but the team, coach's and organization. There call me "OLD SCHOOL".

Well I will tell a secret. I'm a "SOOOOOOOONER FANATIC". I have never been a fence rider going from this team to another. I have stuck with OU and OSU in football until they play each other. The it is SOOOOOONERTIME for that one day. I enjoy collage sport's more than Pro. The reason is in collage you are still playing for the Love of the game. In the Pro's most players they play for the Love of the money. But there are still some that play for the Love of the game. I think the BCS should be thrown in a Steel Box and dumped in the deepest part of the ocean. They need to have a play-off system and if you could find a group of individual with the knowledge which would not be to hard. To use the Bowl's played every year as a bracketing system, such as is used in the manner of the NCAA Basketball Tournment is. I have Coached, Managed and been on the Board's of different sport's. I have one thing that doe's bother me. That is when you see grown men trying to relive there so called "GOLDEN DAY'S" through there kid's. I have a son that is a very outstanding baseball player. He has been selected to several All-Star Team's and was even Inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame. But if he were to walk up to me today and say I don't want to play baseball any more. I would respect it. Yes disappointed. But I would never and will never force my son's to play a sport, just to try and have him do it or push him to be better than I was in my day.

| Kids: | I have two great son's. Ty the oldest at 17. Stand's 5'11 and 270 and doesn't play any sport other than Gaming Horse's and Showing them. My second son is 14 and one of the Best pitcher's on the West Coast and the Nation. He has already had collage's interested in him as a pitcher. He has a 85 mph fast ball and various other pitch's. He play's on Select Team's. Had the lowest ERA in the Nation last year in Babe Ruth and was Inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame. He also play's Football and basketball. |

| Places I lived: | Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, Phillippine's and now in Washington State the Home of the worst sport's programs in the Nation be it Collage or Pro. They had to sale the Sonic to who? Oklahoma. With all the money and BIG Pocket Booster's in this state. Washington is the home of Microsoft, Starbuck's, Boeing. They could at least go out a buy a Championship for onr year like some team's have been doing lately. |
| Greatest Moment in Sports: | When Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth's Home Run Record. Done with no steriod's. But Bond's wouldn't know about that. Plus if they allowed the Home Run's Aaron hit in the Nigro League. He totally would of set a record I believe would never be touched. |
| Greatest Event in Sports: | The World Series. Apple pie, Baseball, great game's and never for get the bat girl's. Ha Ha! |
| Greatest Athlete of All Time: | That is tough. So I will disregard the one's that did steriod's. Babe Ruth and Nolan Ryan and Micheal Jordan and soon to be Tiger Woods. Can you really just pick one? |

| Most Fanatical Moment: | Wrote let's say really dirty words on my high school's rival's football field. They had to paint the grass with spray paint green boxes to cover up all the cuss word's. It looked like a checher board. Yes we did win the game as well as made it to the State Championship that year. |
| My Sports Superstitions: | Never step on the white base line. No matter how good your team is anyone can beat anyone. Because ever Dog has his Day. Except if your a Washington Huskie Fan this year. Ha Ha! Or Wash St Couger fan. Ok I will add the Seapigeon's to that list also. |
| Most Disappointing Sports Moments: | When Notre Dame broke Oklahoma's Longest winning streak in collage. That and Texas get's to play OU in Texas every year. That and even thou the BCS helped Oklahoma again this year. It should be done away with and a Play off system made to replace it. Period |

| Career Highlights: | Playing against Troy Aikmen when he was in High school. I sacked him 3 time's in the game. He played football in a small town named Henryetta Hen's. Leading the league in HR's and RBI's two year's in a row. Being on a high school team that went to the State Final's. But we came up short. | Why I Hate Them: | TEXAS LONGHORN'S. Period. Because the have never stepped on foot across the Red River to play OU at home. Why. Simple they couldn't pay the ref's to make those crap calls like they do ever year. That was proven again this year. |
