spankyc14 commented on Tim Lincecum wins his second Cy Young award in a row. He becomes the first pitcher ever to win Cy Youngs in his first two full seasons in MLB.

Carpenter and Lincecum had more impressive stats than Wainwright, but Lincecum has that WOW factor that a lot of writers probably saw in the Strikeout total. The CY is supposed to go to the most "Outstanding" pitcher, not necessarily most valuable. Did you hear Matt Steinmetz's take on this after the W's game tonight? (quite a good game, btw). Steinmetz thought Nellie would be forfeiting 10 of 12 Million by stepping down right now. Why would he step down right now? To take a front office job for less? I guess it's possible. This was truly an amazing performance. Jennings had 10 points at halftime and simply dominated the 2nd half, especially the 3rd quarter. He couldn't miss and created shots for himself, too. This guy is legit... The Warriors played really well, though (Monta, Curry, and SJax all played well.. Jennings simply took over and swung the game completely on his own. Good point that Field Goal miss definitely kept the game way closer than it could have been. Really hard to believe in a team that literally has no passing game between the 20's, whatsoever.
