She should be suspended forever.

C'mon Rod.... soccer is not as prissy a game as everyone thinks it is.  While I don't condone her actions, she is one tough player.  You would be amazed at how sneaky soccer players are and how they find ways to retaliate against players who play dirty or bend the rules...... creativity thy name is soccer!

All I can say is this girl is a player you would hate to play against but would love to have on your team!

She is a player who needs body slammed a few times.

If that was a college football player they would have suspended them for the season on the spot. There is no room for criminal assault in a sport.

i saw this on sportscenter this morning...i hope that she gets in trouble for that...there is no need waht's so ever for that kind of play...whatever happened to sportsmanship??

Boy, those actions are downright drity!  I cannot believe she jerked her hair and layed her out like that!    She could have seriously hurt her with permanent results.   Another GOOD reason for the instant replay for soccer.  She should have been out for the game right then!   Must admit that I'm seeing these women using those male tatics that don't work for them either.

Where was the ref?  There must have been at least 3 yellow cards infraction and a red card for Miss No.15 hair pull. I wonder if she is a frustrated senior that just saw her season/career end. True, Carl Albert, soccer can get rough but these actions totally crossed the line.

I would agree that her actions crossed the line.  In this case, I would say the referee should have seen this coming and addressed it before it reached the level it did.  Speaking as someone who was a soccer referee, it is hard to see everything, especially if it happens behind the play.  This altercation was an escalation between two players who had been trading cheap shots (elbows, pushing).  If this had been happening the entire game (which we don't know if it was an all game thing or a second half thing) then at half time the center ref usually asks if he is missing anything or if there is anything he should be watching for.  Aside from that, the assistant referees are supposed to be watching the trailing play..... either way the hair pull should have been a red card, no question.

I defer to you as the expert. How many refs are on field/pitch at a time 2? 3?

I played soccer in high school and remember many serious bruises. This clip is extreme, but I have always contended that women are often MUCH more violent in sports than their average male counterparts. My daughter played softball through out her education years, and basketball for half. Those girls were vicious.
One of her opposing basketball teams had decided not to bathe for 4 days before a game and it was horrendous... no one wanted to guard or get hear anyone of those girls.
Great clip, back sportswoman-ship.

In NCAA games there are 4 officials.  The center referee would be the lead referee and basically the person in charge of keeping order in the game.  There are to assistant referees that are there to assist the center referee and a couple of main responsibilities are to watch for offside and to watch the trailing players as they go up the field as typically that will be behind the back of the center referee.  The fourth referee is basically in charge of substitutions.

I've coached both boys and girls.... girls are definitely more vicious.  The big difference though is boys will retaliate almost immediately if they feel they have been fouled and no call was given or if a foul was a "hard" foul.  Girls on the other hand, if they get fouled in the first minute of the game, they will remember who fouled them for the entire match and will seek out vengeance, it's not a matter of it, it's just a matter of when!

Yep, sounds like all the games I attended. Girls just don't forget... that's how women learn to hold a grudge... for life sometimes.
